The Perfectionist
My mom framed her Christmas present! She asked for pictures of that one thing in Isaiah, but I can’t remember the exact verse. It’s about the wolf with the lamb, the jaguar with the kid, and the little child leading the calf and lion. It turned out pretty well and looks nice framed!
Ok, so click on it because it’s a series of three and they’re hard to see when posted.
I forgot to post these yesterday. I was practicing ambient occlusion in my living room and it turned into a muddy mess so I turned a messed up pencil drawing into a dragon. World Watercolor Month, day 14.
I’ve been traveling so I missed a few days! Here’s the next World Watercolor Month entry. My sister’s dog is terrified of thunder and hides under her bed shaking every time there’s a thunderstorm. Poor old guy looks so silly cramming his medium-dog-sized body under the bed.
World Watercolor Month day 6. For this one I needed to use up some colors in my palette so I soaked them up with paper towels and hung them on a piece of paper. Then I used a spray bottle and sprayed the paper until I liked it. Oh, and then I added the umbrella person.

I just ordered mine!!! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! I’m so excited!!!!!
World watercolor month day 5. It’s a turtle! Something small today because I don’t have much time.
World watercolor month, day 4. Cinderella. I was going to try and put in ruffles at the bottom, but I liked the way the colors had fallen so I didn’t bother. Trying not to overwork! Drew this with grey watercolor pencil and then used paints so the pencil disappeared for the most part. It did make a few places a bit muddy.
World Watercolor Month, day 3. Shin-ah. I absolutely love his arm/hand. Really well blended. Prompt today was ‘Primary Colors’ so I only used three colors in this.
World watercolor month day 2. This one was kind of tough. I’ve got a mixed media sketchbook that I want to finish up, so the paper is lower weight than what I usually use for watercolors. It warped a bit and I ended up having to sop up puddles with paper towel. And then it’s really hot right now so the water was evaporating faster than I was used to so none of my washes are very smooth. Which is a look, I guess, but not one I was going for. I finished some of the details in gel pen and colored pencil.
It’s World Watercolor Month! In these pictures I used watercolor pencils and a water brush. I started out drawing the red hair of the girl sitting in front of me and trying to figure out which colors I would add in for the shadows and highlights. I went a little overboard on the purple in the second one. Then I drew Zeno’s dragon scaled arm and loved it so I had to draw the rest of him! The friend who was sitting next to me asked me if he was eating an apple, so I tried to make his medallion more medallion-y but I can’t tell if it worked because I can’t unsee the apple. :\ I love the red and yellow on his hands and arms, though! Overall the effect is quite nice. I struggle with over-rendering sometimes. I get pictures to a certain point and then I try to ‘push it’ and they end up muddy and garbled. So for this month I’m going to focus on not over-rendering and making sure I understand the light in my pictures.
WARNING! This image is part of a delightfully evil Dragon Baby AU collab I did last year with @sometimesdragons. This image won’t make sense without it! So go take a look if we didn’t already put you through that. Mwahahahaha.
That being said, I really wanted to show off the details in this pic.
Check this out! It’s awesomely evil. :D
I’m alive!!! I got a promotion at work about a month and a half ago so I have had like NO time to draw. So. Much. Stress. But dramatic Shin-ah had carried me through it. I was able to work on this a little at a time and it is finally done! I’m pretty pleased with it as a whole. Also, pro tip: if you accidentally spatter ink in the middle of your sky, turn it into birds!
Happy Easter from the Happy Hungry Bunch!
I don’t normally draw chibis, so this was a bit of a stretch for me. But I think it turned out ok. Except for that one thing…
This is again relevant. Happy Easter!
The baby and the papa.
I did a doodle. :)
