This blog was created on November 15th, 2020!
Since then, I've been through many different experiences and had many different friends through this blog. I've also gone through multiple controversies. I've been through a lot.
In November 2020, I created a thread on my old main blog making fun of the TF2 fandom. But then I realized how much I actually liked the fandom, how much I enjoyed sniperscout and other ships. So I created this blog.
In February 2021, I began writing my fanfiction Charlotte and creating the Charlotte & James AU in secret, occasionally writing about it on this blog. A few fans of the AU found me here, and I was able to share more about it.
In October 2021, I went to Denver Fan Expo and wore my infamous scout cosplay for the first time ever. I posted about the progress of the cosplay on this blog, truly solidifying the name "somnolent-scout".
In May 2022, I started the TF2 Cosplay Community after organizing a meetup at Phoenix Fan Fusion.
In August 2022, I suffered a miserable breakup, and talked about it here. It was a traumatizing experience, but it inspired so much of my artwork.
Through 2023 and 2024, as my career expanded elsewhere.. this blog was my safe space. The place where I could be myself without fear of being too weird or too quirky for others liking.
But unfortunately, the most recent controversy I got myself into as proved to be far too much for me to handle. The hatred and backlash I'm consistently receiving here is intense. The violent threats and sexual comments are just too much. The name of this blog is soaked in mud and blood.
I think it's time to lay somnolent-scout to rest.
