When Hyejin drunk kissed Dusik, she immediately felt the need to run around town with a huge grin on her face screaming “Chief Hong! Dusikie Oppa!” When Hyejin realized her feelings for Dusik, she couldn’t run to him fast enough with a happy smile on her face. Now that they are together, we’ve seen in the previews, Hyejin will be running into Dusik’s arms many times with a beaming smile. For someone who is generally reserved, it’s so wonderful to see Hyejin unable to contain her unadulterated joy at being in love with Dusik.

me: jeong won brought the 99′ers back together at yulje and now he’s leaving which is why ik jun said he felt like it was their last band session…….

someone: okay but why are you still crying 

me: after song hwa went into their tent to sleep, ik jun was sitting there with tears in his eyes happily looking at the sky because he finally was truly happy with the girl he’d loved in different ways for 22 years 

someone: that’s great but you’re still crying?

me: song hwa, seok hyung, and jeong won were happy to be alone in season 1′s early episodes and wanted to be alone but now they all have found their own loves who cherish them

someone: okay let me go get you a tissue and -

me: the scene of jun wan sitting on the bench next to song hwa and ik jun on their own bench was so beautiful because that’s how the 99′ers really began - when ik jun and jun wan sat next to song hwa during their interviews and the attaction between iksong bloomed.

someone: the tears are still going…..

me: they ended the episode with them looking at a sunset……in season 1, the last band song ended with them asking to remain as a beautiful memory like a sunset. that’s our final shot of them.

someone: okay i get it now stop crying

me: there’s no season 3. there’s no season 3 and it’s over and now i have this massive hole in my heart that they occupied for 2 years WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW -

I love how the ending isn’t as dramatic as I thought it would be. I love how most of the individual storylines were wrapped up neatly, but can still be opened up if they ever decide on having another season in the future and not feel too forced. It’s such a shame, though, that we didn’t get to see the more of the couples. Like, between Ikjun and Songhwa, we’ll never know gets jealous easily. Or if they make up immediately after a petty fight. Or how Uju will react once Ikjun tells him that he’s dating Aunt Songhwa. We won’t know how Seokhyeong would introduce Minha to his mom and how she will react when she eventually realizes that it isn’t their first time meeting. We’ll never know how Jeongwon’s dinner with Gyeoul’s mom went and if he was able to propose to her. I’ve been waiting for this since Season 1, but I guess I’ll never know how the rest of the 99z will react when they really find out that Junwan’s bidulgi is Iksun.

I’m finally starting to accept that this is truly the end. But I guess it’s okay if I’ll let myself feel sad for a while. Hospital Playlist had been a huge comfort for me and I’ve grown quite attached to all 5 main characters, so this feels a bit personal to me.
