Scars
"Nor I you….I couldn’t…I can’t fathom losing you again, even for a short period of time….I…do not think I could fair well on my own, without you…You keeping me going….you make me the happiest I have ever been in all my life…I love you Stary Hayden, and I absolutely refuse to let you go…ever again. Anywhere. Do you hear me?" He took her face in both his hands, watching her eyes for a moment, before closing his own and leaning forward to rest his forehead on her shoulder.
"There must be a way…there has to be…"
She listened to him, her eyes swimming with tears once more. She felt everything he said, felt it so deep that it twisted white-hot in her gut and sent sparks over her skin. His sentiments were not unrequited. She gazed as willingly into his eyes as she had ever done anything before, studied the emerald depths of his own before they closed, and she closed hers in kind, and their foreheads touched. Tears escaped the corners of her eyes, and she breathed a laugh.
"There must be... but I... I don't know how. I wish I did, but..." She trailed, her voice soft. She was at a loss. What was there to be done?
"I suppose if I absolutely had to, I can get to Alfheim from just about anywhere, and then to Midgard from there, but..." But it wasn't the same.
