The idea of a Jehan survives au hit me like a freight train but all I could think of was:

Montparnasse: you're a wanted man, Prouvaire

Jehan: Impossible, I wasn't even a wanted child

Montparnasse introduces Jehan to the gang

Claquesous: so what do you do?

Jehan: cocaine

Jehan teaches Greek to the Patron-Minette and Javert's successor is tearing his hair out because none of his informants can understand what the gang is saying

The National Guard knocks on Patron-Minette's door looking for Jehan

Montparnasse opens the door and raises an eyebrow

National guard #1: we are looking for Jehan Prouvaire

There's the sound of shattering glass in the room and Jehan can be seen jumping out of the broken window

Montparnasse, stone-faced: you know what? He just left

Jehan writes an anonymous letter to the police, detailing every single one of the Thénardier's crimes. They get thrown in jail for the rest of their lives, Jehan gets to avenge Éponine, Gavroche and Cosette and the Patron-Minette adopts Azelma, who immediately proceeds to make fun of Jehan and Montparnasse who are behaving more and more like an old married couple as time progresses

The first time Jehan meets Marius after the barricades, Marius is convinced he's seeing a ghost and refuses to listen to Jehan. Jehan yells in frustration "you want real? I'll show you real!" and headbutts him. Marius doesn't doubt of his realness anymore.

They get a headstone for each one of their friends, willing to honour their memory, which go in the Pontmercy family mausoleum together with a headstone for Marius's father and one for Fantine. Somehow, Jehan knows all of the Amis' names and none of them is Jean.

Fast forward a few year, Marius and Jehan teach Cosette and Marius's children all the languages they know. The children speak those languages amongst themselves to plan what to get for Cosette and Montparnasse's birthday each year. They speak German to choose Jehan's birthday gift and either Greek or Italian to choose Marius's.
