Eponine ran off when I tried to get her to come home. I've been hanging round her apartment. I don't think she's coming back.

Giggling and kicking my footsies rn bro. (Parnasse isnt short, eponine is judt tall af)
Eponine was walking along the road, kicking a stone. Her hands were shoved in the pockets of her trousers, and she was absolutely exhausted.
"Hey there kitty cat," a voice purred from the shadows in an alley to her left. Montparnasse materialized from the darkness in front of her.
"Hey there," she replied with a smirk. He looked happy. He also had a yellow rose in his buttonhole, as per usual when he saw Fauntleroy.
"I require affection," he stated bluntly, hugging her and snuggling into her. He, by some miracle, was shorter than her.
"You don't say," she teased, petting his back and pulling him into the alley. They settled down on some old potato sacks and his hat fell off. He hummed and buried his face in her shoulder.
She laughed and hugged him even tighter. He was like a kitten with his sharp claws that he put away in her presence. A little ironic, given that that was her nickname rather than his. She had a sneaking suspicion he called her that just so that she wouldn't notice how much he resembled a little black kitty.
His dark hair and clothes made him blend in with the darkness in the alley.
In the morning, the light reflected off of his hair in soft blue hues. Simply stunning.
YUM YUM YUMMY THEY'RE SO YES
*incomprehensible happy yelling*
My children are so gender and I love that for them <3 This fic is sponsored by the lightning storm outside.
Eponine was just about ready to punch her father. He had dismissed Montparnasse earlier because of his pretty clothes, and now he dismissed her because of her boyish ones.
"Double standards..." she muttered under her breath, storming down the street to where Montparnasse was exiting an expensive looking house tha the visited often. The boy living there must be incredibly charming.
"Hello little kitty cat, may I inquire why your claws are out?" he asked, adjusting his hat to hide his disheveled hair.
"You know how dad basically called you a girl for your fashion? Well he dismissed me for the opposite reason," she spat, throwing her cap to the ground and leaning on the fence before sitting down. She cursed as her trousers soaked through with water from the rain earlier that day.
"Well, fair reason," Montparnasse mused, looking at the ground and wrinkling his nose. She rolled her eyes with a smirk. He was clearly wearing lipstick, and what appeared to be a hint of blush. It was nice to see how confident he was.
"I'm tired of him doing this. We're just as capable!"
"I like to think I'm more competent," he teased, flicking a brown curl with the tip of his knife.
She snorted and rollsd her eyes, "As do I."
He finally sat down beside her and was immediately enveloped in her arms. She clutched him close and sighed. He smelled like flowers and herbs that she was confident he wouldn't usually be caught dead around.
"Your beau is a florist I presume?" she asked, voice muffled by his shoulder.
"Something like that."
She brought him home and slept with him the night, waking up to an empty bed that smelled faintly of his perfume. It was a routine that she quite enjoyed.
My children and their genders YES
I SEE YOU FAUNTLROY
Monty injury recovery because yes.
Tw: child abuse mention
Eponine was beside him with a cloth soaked in whisky, and she was pressing it to his jaw. It was burning in the cut that Thenardier had left there, but he knew it was important.
He was holding a cheesecloth full of ice to his black eye, and it burned. His injuries had been getting better over the past little while, but they were nowhere near healed enough to go back to working.
"What did you even do to deserve this?" Eponind muttered, wiping his tears with her free hand.
"Don't ask me."
She quieted down at that. They both knew how irrational her father often was.
"Well, this is the best I can do tonight. Ill be back tomorrow, okay?"
She walked away and Montparnasse laid down to sleep.
The next night, he had fresh wounds on his back from Thenardier's whip. Eponine wiped them clean with barely concealed rage burning in her eyes.
"He can't keep doing this," she muttersd, angrily swiping the cloth along the deep gashes.
"Tell him that," he muttered in reply, wincing at the sudden sharp pain sparked by the alcohol hitting his flesh.
"Oh I plan to."
The next night, she was back with a black eye to match his.
"Eponine! What did you say?" he hissed as she knelt down beside him.
"I told him the truth."
That night, she stayed. She held him tight, almost like a cage. But it didn't feel like a trap, it felt protective. Her warm arms around him were like an angel's wings. Montparnasse wasn't religious, but the imagery fit. Especially when the morning sunlight made her hair glow like a halo of thorns.
