Sonicswap!
Hi, it's Dingo! This is the official blog for the take of a Underswap-styled Sonicswap AU I created for SiIvaGunner's 2026 April Fools Event, alongside Alzter and Ellie53. Got a lot I wanna write/draw and showcase! The main concept of the AU is to swap the cast of the entire series with either their closest equivalent (example, Cream and Amy or Maria and Abraham Tower) or with their established series parings from SA2 and Sonic 06 (Sonic and Shadow, Tails and Eggman, Knuckles and Rouge, Silver and Blaze etc.) You may notice the thumbnail here looks different from the one on SiIvaGunner... that's because I noticed we coloured Eggman's hand and hat, just a little bit off...
After all, he's wearing his pyjamas from Sonic: Man of the Year! This is in reference to his concept art from Sonic 1 having similar pyjamas. I originally wanted to use those but they were too detailed for a SEGA Mega Drive sprite so we chose this design instead. Anyways, that's all for now, hope to share more soon!
