Happy Father’s Day to the dads who lost their babies to miscarriage.

The ones who never got to feel a kick.

The ones who held their partner through the pain, even while breaking inside.

The ones who counted weeks instead of milestones.

The ones who never got to hear “dad”, but earned that title the moment those two pink lines appeared.

You grieved quietly.

You stayed strong when your world fell apart.

You held her while she bled, while she sobbed, while her body let go of a baby you both already loved.

This kind of fatherhood doesn’t come with cards or crafts.

It comes with ache.

With love.

With what ifs.

But you’re still a dad.

A dad to a baby who existed, if only for a moment.

A baby who mattered.

A baby who made you a father the second they began to grow.

So Happy Father’s Day to the miscarriage dads.

You may not have arms full of your child…

but your heart will always carry them.
