Crayons round II ✏️ I cheated a bit with the yellow and added turmeric 🙊 I added more pigment and a tiny bit of ash to each of them to strengthen the richness and create less opacity!! This is one of my absolute favorite mushrooms! The Lobster Mushroom is a fungus from the genus Hypomyces! It is a parasitic fungus that grows on mushrooms from the genera Lactarius, Russula, and Lactifuus! These fungi can only grow when their symbiotic tree host is present 🤭 isn’t it so amazing that so many things need to be just right for this delicious fungus to thrive?? . . . Just a lil art tangent 🤩 These are my first attempts at making crayons from hand ground pigments! They came out a little lighter than I’d hoped but most of the pigment stayed suspended!
