I wan to be a Tree When My soul is tired And my body laid to rest, This is what I want you to do: I no longer want my body turned to ashes, for I did not come from dust I came from the earth. I want my body untouched by religion, no chemicals nor potions to conserve my banal beauty. From the earth I came and to it's loving arms I shall return. I want to fertilize to the soil, feed the worms, become the lowest link on the circle of life. Burry me in the Forrest so I can become the smallest offering to Mother Earth for the damage man kind has done. I want you to pick a tree that reminds you of me. Something dark and vibrant, loving and cruel, with a sensual honest smell. I want you to plant that tree where my body rests, I want to be a tree. Let me give life to it, and become one with it, until the tree becomes me and I become the tree. I want the tears of my loved ones to feed my thirst, for I know you will miss me even though I'm there. I want my father to sit by me and take a deep breath, my brother to sing and play his guitar, I want my best friend to smoke me and my daughter to see me with her huge brown eyes. I want to be FREE! This life is to constricting, I can't wait to be a tree. Grow as much as I want, being loved by many but owned by none. No worries, no hurting or being hurt.No social expectations to meet. Just wind caressing my leaves and rain bathing me. FREE COMPLETELY FREE. I want young love to carve their initials in me, a love that time will most likely take, but will for ever remain pure like the essence of a tattoo ink. I want to be home to birds, closet to squirrels, workplace to bees. I want you all to feed me, love me, talk to me and laugh with me. I want you to feel me being free. I will grow fruit of that love and in return I'LL GIVE YOU LIFE. Because of all the things I want, the one thing I want the most is to give you life. Give you shadow from the world, GIVE YOU THE AIR YOU BREATHE.
