Based off The Sims: Bustin’ Out, but replicated as closely as possible in The Sims 4! Not sure if anyone’s made something like this, but this is our version of it at least.
This is a 7 generation challenge, however if you want to alter a few of the goals and finish everything in one go like the original game (aging off / long lifespan), go ahead! The choice is yours ♥
If you do decide to do this and document your gameplay, use the #sims4bustout tag! We’d love to see!
GENERAL RULES:
No money cheats! You can use freerealestate for yourself and the Mom sim to get started if you wish, but try not to use any afterwards. Bring the funds down to $100 or so for bills afterwards.
We don’t own all the Expansion/Game packs! So, if you don’t have everything we do or if you actually have everything, replace it with what you think will fit! (Trait/Aspiration mods will work too!)
When a child becomes a Young Adult, the next generation begins! If you’re playing this with aging off/one sim only like the actual game, you can ignore!
Can play on whatever lifespan you’d like! (We usually play on Normal)

Optional:
After every 2 promotions, house hop and move in with a different friend (just like the actual Bustin’ Out game!)
For the [Your Choice] Traits, if you have trouble picking, use the Sim Generator!
💋 GENERATION 1 - COUNTER CULTURE:
Traits: Good, Self Assured, [Your Choice]
Aspiration: Zen Guru (Wellness)
Career: Odd Jobs / Politician (Charity Organizer Branch)
You’re young, broke, and living with mom. Your only source of income is through the Odd Jobs you find online! You yearn to protest, and help the right causes. Your dream is to become a Charity Organizer, but you are no where yet near qualified. Have to make some cash somehow, right?
Goals:
Stick with Odd Jobs for income
Obtain following skills before joining the Politician Career: Cooking [3], Research & Debate [5], Charisma [4], Wellness [2], Painting [2]
Complete the Zen Guru Aspiration
Move to San Myshuno after you reach Level 6 of the Politician Career
Join a protest once a week (if available)
Reach top of Politician Career
Optional:
Play with an Elder (Mom), and your sim (Young Adult) for backstory accuracy ♥
After every 2 promotions, house hop and move in with a different friend (just like the actual Bustin’ Out game!)
If you want an extra challenge, wait until Adult lifespan to start the Politician Career

Once a Young Adult, get a job in the Style Influencer Career
Style and Sell outfits on the Trendi app for extra income
Obtain 1,000 Followers on Social Bunny and Simstagram
Complete the Fabulously Wealthy Aspiration

Traits: Kleptomaniac, Evil, Goofball
Substitutes: Hates Children
Aspiration: Villainous Valentine / Public Enemy (Deviance)
Career: Criminal (Oracle Branch)
You were never too fond of other sims, and nobody knows why. Not even yourself. You decide to join the Criminal career to see what it’s like. Turns out, it’s a lot easier than you think. You love it! The adrenaline keeps you going. Your parents however, are disappointed, but who cares?
Goals:
Reach top of the Criminal Career
Complete both Villainous Valentine and Public Enemy Aspirations
Successfully steal at least one object from every household in each world 😈
Never get married
Have a neutral relationship with your family (No good friends, etc)
Max out Mischief skill
Attend the Humor & Hijinks Festival (Preferably more than once)
Break up 3 couples within your lifetime
Move to Copperdale as an Elder (Retirement)
🏈 GENERATION 4 - JOCK:
Traits: Active, Loves The Outdoors, Paranoid
Substitutes: Bro
Your guardian never really did things with you, so you’ve turned to sports! It’s one of your greatest interests. But how about you take it to the extreme?
Goals:
Join the Football Team as a Teenager
Reach top of the Athletic Career
Max out Fitness, Snowboarding, Rock Climbing, Skiing Skills
Take a vacation to Granite Falls and Mt. Komorebi
Marry a sim from Mt. Komorebi with the Athletic trait
Complete at least one of the Athletic Aspirations
Move to Mt. Komorebi

Deactivate Social Bunny and Simstagram once joining the Military
Move to Strangerville (Boot Camp) and live there for at least one season (ex: fall)
Go AWOL and live off the land (ex: Island lot in Brindleton Bay)

I have converted the Sims 1 flooring @thesims1master had done for The Sims 3 over to The Sims 2 and 4!
Note: There are two versions for The Sims 4
You can have both in your game if you wish, I personally use version 2; the bundled one.
Version 1: these are the usual separated floors in their respective categories with all their names and descriptions.
Version 2: these are bundled by expansion, (pictured above) all being in the Floors > Miscellaneous category. First swatch is a real floor, its thumbnail is just being used to help identify which expansion it’s from.

Wsg EA, I hope you know that after all of this recent DMCA and cash grab bs, all of the silly digital people living in your game would react like this (^_^)
As a Sims 2 player one of the most eerie things about playing the original game isn't necessarily the creepy/more liminal aesthetic or the repetitively endless gameplay, but the fact that almost all the pre-made Sims from the original game are inexorably doomed by the narrative.
There's something odd about Pleasantview specifically, where the majority of the returning Sim families live (save for Tara Kat, who seems... relatively fine). Like, the concept of the game is that twenty-five years have passed, and all of the returning characters are pre-baked into character arcs that communicate an unavoidable truth: You, the player, failed.
Bella Goth will disappear. Her brother (though in the original Sims we aren't aware that Michael Bachelor is her brother) will die, possibly murdered. Mortimer will be lost and alone. Cassandra will be stuck in an unloving engagement. The Newbie's daughter will be impoverished, a single mother whose husband died young, with two boys and another on the way. Daniel Pleasant will grow up to be a cheater. Jennifer Pleasant will never be an athlete like she wanted (her brother will). And though poor Johnny Burb never mentions Tucker anymore, you know that old dog died years ago. The Roomies, the Mashugas, the Hicks, the Charmings - all leave town... or worse, die out.
I think about Jeff Pleasant's bio in the first game: "Jeff and his family are new to the neighborhood. Can you help Jeff provide for his family and fulfill his lifelong goal of being the first man to walk on Mars?" And how it contrasts to Daniel's in the second: "Since his father Jeff died without achieving his dream of going to Mars, Daniel has felt an overwhelming guilt."
And sure, you can save the families of Pleasantview. You can choose for Mary-Sue to not go to work that day, or maybe Daniel never pursues Kaylynn Langerak again. You can give Cassandra a happy marriage, tame Don Lothario's womanizer ways. You can financially save Brandi Broke. You can get John Burb another dog. You can get Jennifer the career she always wanted. You can defy the scripted in-game prompts and say "No. I don't want to play like this." You can break the cycle, every time you play.
And yet, at the end of the day, no matter what you do... uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, maybe just deleting that Neighborhood folder, they are reset back to exactly where they were again. They're doomed to repeat it forever.
The game makes it clear that there are some things you aren't meant to change. A genie lamp or a Resurrect-O-Nomitron can bring back sims like Michael Bachelor, but you will pay for it in your neighborhood deteriorating to corruption. And no matter what you do, no force in the universe can bring Bella Goth back. The one in Strangetown isn't even really her, after all. And maybe she isn't. They say they deleted her in development, replaced her with a clone. Maybe that's what Bella Goth in Strangetown is. A clone. Maybe we were wrong, after all. Maybe she was never abducted by aliens. Maybe Don Lothario killed her. Maybe Dina Caliente killed her. Maybe Mortimer did. But you can't bring her back, no matter what you do. Recreate the original Bella, pixel by pixel, extract her data, make your zombie Bella. Build your own monster. Create a sim. But she will never recognize her family. Never see them as her own.
Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!
It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!
INSTRUCTIONS
Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).
Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).
Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.
You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.
Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.
CAUTION
Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.
If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.
I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.
Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.

Hey so, I'm getting better with blender maybe?! Here's a hair recreation from when I was 18 and really wanted to annoy my parents. Wavy side cut, with a fade. I probably would have kept it but my hair grows insanely fast and shaving it every week was a bummer. I hope you enjoy! I played around with some custom swatches too!

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you already have another version of Adobe's Photoshop CC/2024 installed, it will require you to uninstall that first. Just like in the old days with my previous versions, simply follow the instructions and all should immediately work as intended. And don't worry, I pinky-promise you that this works and won't give you any problems, no matter whether you're a techie or a bit clueless as to how to navigate computers. And in case you're struggling, I'm here at your beck and call until it's working!
IMPORTANT NOTE #2: In case you get a popup that says Photoshop needs to be licensed, or it will uninstall itself otherwise, please have a look at this fix!
Step 1: Please navigate here, and download Photoshop (alternative link here).
Step 2: When done downloading, unzip it (Windows can do it for you, but otherwise, I personally use a program called 7ZIP) anywhere on your PC, even your desktop works fine, as you can delete it when the installation is done if you'd like.
Step 3: When done, have a look inside the folder you just unzipped, and you'll see a file called 'Set-up (just click this and install!)', you simply need to run it, and install it as per your preferences (if you aren't too tech-savvy, don't worry, you can leave the default installation options as they are and all will be fine), and it is already pre-cracked, so there's no extra work from your end that needs to be done, we're just left with the last little step...
Step 4: Everything is done! You can now start it up and use it as you want!
