so, will’s coming out scene, let’s talk about it.

first of all, the entire speech, will is looking straight at mike. subconsciously, tearing up even thinking about it, hes talking to mike, telling him how he feels about him, even if he doesn’t mention him by name. mike figures it out by the end of the scene.

the entirely of the scene, mike is nodding, like what will is saying resonates with him. his eyes keep flicking to will’s lips, he’s taking the words in and mulling them over. that’s why he’s the last one of the core three to stand up. he takes a moment to think, to sort through their memories, piece the puzzles together.

will wasn’t the one pushing mike away, mike was. the whole season four. mike knows and longs and wishes, because even now, even knowing it’s him, he can’t be sure it still is, because Will said was. will said he had a crush. what if mike missed his chance?

the only thing for him to do is to talk to will alone, face his own fears, but he can’t, because they’re saving the world and they don’t have a moment alone.
