Speaking aave when you’re not black is a problem that must be addressed
yes i’m a gatekeeper and a hater. i’m also God’s favorite princess and the most interesting girl in the world
Genuinely I enjoy criticisms of America as a nation for Obvious Reasons of Color but so many of y’all are just like “I hate Americans because they [something only white people do] [something only white people do] [something we’re forced to deal with due to our government] [something that even white Americans will mock you for doing] [something only rich people can afford to do] [movie trope] [something you would only bring up if you’re fatphobic] [something that Canada also does but hides behind the “we’re just super nice teehee” stereotype] [something that your country does but you recognize is not inherently the fault of all citizens] [literally just capitalism] [something you’ll only see in like, Maine] [something Americans complain about constantly] [movie trope] [something only white people do]”
Where to begin with all this
Sometimes I purposely have headphones in with no actual music to stop people from trying to talk to me. Enraging.
What incel wrote this article.
This is the only appropriate reaction since he wanna be all up in my face.
Even that image they have, the woman looks SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE. How do you even justify this garbage???

What do you mean by ‘Niall’s album is the most self assured?’
Niall’s albums feel the most original to me of any of OT5’s solo work.
I enjoy Harry’s albums but as someone who is a fan of a lot of his influences, his music is still quite derivative. He’s still figuring out how to write music that feels like it’s his own, rather than just nostalgia (I think Adore You is his best song so far with regards to straddling contemporary sound and originality with the music he is influenced by). TBSL sounds like Gotye, Cherry is obviously supposed to be Joni Mitchell esque, Sunflower sounds like Vampire Weekend, Lights Up like Tame Impala, She like the Doors/Beatles, Canyon like Paul Simon etc. Harry’s influences are super overt in his music and the problem with that, for me, is that I then instantly compare. And he isn’t going to win a comparison with a songwriter like Joni Mitchell.
Similarly as an Oasis fan, songs like KMM, WMI, Walls, Habit etc are very obviously Oasis inspired. Which I don’t mind because I’m a fan, but the inspiration is overt and once again, it makes the songs feel not entirely original.
Niall’s music feels entirely self actualised. Obviously he’s working in known genres and Niall’s stuff isn’t mind blowing, but it also doesn’t really sound like anyone else - it just sounds like pop or pop folk. He’s not using instruments to try and sound like anyone in particular, or calling back to a time period. It shows that he’s a really confident song writer.
Niall’s music is quite timeless. I can imagine Still and This Town and Flicker and B&W being songs that are still plain good when he’s 50. He’s really good at writing poppy, joyful music that feels both comfy and new. I don’t think there’s a bad song on HW - it might not be for everyone but it’s just an objectively solid album. HW also sounds similar to 1D but just matured - Niall is unashamed to just write happy bops, he’s not trying to be anyone and I think that translates really well.
One thing I can say 100% is Niall's work is pretty personal to him. He's definitely making songs that he feels close to and loves. I personally like his first album more because it seemed like it was even more personal and emotional than the 2nd.
When it comes to Harry, I love all his songs, but the first album.....not deep at all. I told a friend that I loved Niall's album more (bc his and Harry's came out around the same time), because it seemed like it was HIS. And she said I was crazy for it. But when Harry came out with the second album, he himself admitted to hiding behind words, not really being expressive. It was obvious. The lyrics were great but very....genre specific. I think Harry's second album is way better at being about HIM. Although, he definitely is still relying on a specific sound that im sure he loves. And that's fine. I just hate how Harry stans are acting like he's opening doors and making trends. He sounds like a lot of soft rock artists.
every single negative stereotype about women was dreamt up by men who were projecting. fight me about it.
“women can’t drive”
It is so well known that women are better and safer drivers than men that OUR CAR INSURANCE RATES ARE LOWER. Women get into fewer accidents, get fewer DUIs, and receive fewer speeding tickets than men.
“women never shut up”
Several scientific studies have shown that not only do men talk more than women, they also think that women have been talking for much longer than they actually have. Men interrupt and talk over women, dominate conversations, and still think women talk too much.
“women are shallow”
Lol next
“my wife is my ball and chain lmao”
Multiple studies have shown that marriage between men and women: Increases male lifespan, decreases female lifespan Decreases male depression rates, increases female depression rates Decreases male stress levels, increases female stress levels Increases male health and happiness, decreases female health and happiness Increases a man’s chance of getting a raise or promotion, decreases a woman’s chances of getting a raise or promotion
“women are too emotional”
Men love to say this about women after hurting them, in order to shift the blame and dismiss their feelings in one go. In reality, women are taught to hold our tongues and control ourselves quite literally from birth. We’re taught to put men’s needs and wants ahead of our own emotions regardless of the personal cost. Men are taught to do more or less whatever the fuck they want to women. Men take their emotions out on women while women are expected to shove theirs down.
I could go on and on but I don’t really think I need to.
