I saw someone tell a story on tiktok about how they "had the chance to run Wilbur over with their car" and that if they had a time machine, they would do it... and... i'm just sitting here going "why do they get to say that kind of thing, but if I even so much as imply Shelby did something bad, I get jumped?"

The difference between SSS and WSS is... interesting. At this point, it's now EXPECTED for such vile things to come from SSS. They're not even supporting her, they just want a reason to hate and be justified in doing so. Just recently, I saw an X post saying that Wilbur should overdose because he is "a stain on the world". Such vile and inappropriate, and frankly illegal, things are said because "I'm supporting a real victim" when in fact, all they are doing is making a situation worse. They aren't supporting, they are poking a bear and trying to place the blame on someone else when someone inevitably gets hurt.

(I’ll truly never understand the revile about his statement. It was respectful, reflective, honest, and responsive. It acknowledged fault and validated her feelings. She spent an hour saying he was a selfish slob and he acknowledged he’s acted like a selfish slob. He expressed shock and confusion about the abuse allegation and stated he was committed to understanding. He didn’t disparage her or call her a liar. What the fuck more could he have done? Pretend to agree with her? Pretend to think she was right? Apologize for things he doesn’t agree that he did? Grovel? WHY??

Yes, Wilbur, you get to disagree. Yes, Wilbur, your perspective is relevant. Yes, Wilbur, some of us could understand exactly what you’d meant to mean.)

So with the recent stuff lately, my friends had. A few things to say so

Look dude imma be serious and tell ya something, I know that I shouldn't comoare this to kpop groups because they genuinely do much more than just sing, they're dancers and artists( amnot sayingthat Jovejoy aren't), but the main thing that is binding these kpop groups and soloists is a company, where the company might wary, from treating groups like shit behind the scenes, or just using them for money laundering, harassing/ bullying, to even suing their *_own_* artists, to being ungrateful ass mfs yet on the other side, we have good companies ( very few) which treat the artists with respect they deserve, moreover like a family, but this doesn't mean that they don't go through harassment, stalkers ( from breaking in Hotel rooms, to breaking in houses) and mostly the toxic Fandom....Everything matters, just because They hate one would mean that they've always done that even before the controversy,

The stuff I've seen in here is crazy, like if one( male) idol is spotted with another (female) people would assume that they're dating....even if they're not, and even bashing idols to certain extent that makes them consider taking their own life ( most female idols Goo hara, Sulli) yalls in the fandom have seen nothing compared to this ( not comparing anyone's mental state, nor deaths)

does Lovejoy not have a company/ label managing them? Like realistically saying if they had a manager, or even a company managing them so much information would've not been leaked

Not only that, but if they were under any kpop company especially SM ent , Wilbur would've been blacklisted from ever music show ( Kinda like Zee Bangla but for artists to perform their comeback songs, there's 3 of em KBS, MBC / "Inkigayo", and SBS / "Show Champion") for god knows how many years, including being permanently kicked out ( even if further Investigations would've proved him "innocent"), which for a music artists in the kpop industry is like have the plague, because not just music shows, but even reality TV shows/ ads, would never take you to ambassador for their brand

And most importantly, the "Black Ocean" which basically meant that when any idol group/ soloist, would be performing their song on any award show or big event (not concerts / fansigns ofc) the fandom / collective people from every fandom would turn their lightstick off ( the lights when on, shine and represent the group's official colour, or forming a wave like motion when swayed) hence when every fan light in the whole stadium would turn off, everything would look like a black void, no cheers, no nothing. And this is something every idol dreaded , ever since 5th gen this stuff has gone or to be fair totally vanished away, but every other 2nd & 3rd gen were dead scared of this stuff

They want a good rep, and if they hear that a member has HUGE controversies, they cancel said show for said band. i wish it wasnt true but it is. Don't call me a kid, and Wilbur was not proven to be an abuser. If it turns out that he really did indeed abused Shelby, then I'll take down this account. Which, by the way, was made so my update blog wasn't flooded with stuff that wasn't updates. Wilbur fans are indeed personally affected, because not only did someone we adore get accused of something so horrible, but we were also threatened and told to off ourselves simply because we either had no stance on the situation or supported wilbur. Also, I barely post on this blog so really, what was the point?? You simply could've blocked me and moved on with your life, like I and the others in our system have done since the allegations came out.

I’m genuinely trying to not be mean and I may have some bias.

I said this before on my other blog and I'll say it again.

Wilbur saved my life with his content. I was struggling with my gender identity and his content helped me a bunch. When the allegations came out, I quickly became SSS, but got harassed since I was "befriending the enemy" (talking to WSS) so I became neutral. Then the proof of Wilbur's innocence came out, and the more I saw the more I regretted being SSS

I'm not trying to push an agenda here, I'm simply sharing my story

I love Wilbur and the whole situation made me lose some respect for his (old) friends. Like Tommy, Jack, etc., As soon as Shelby dropped her story they all instantly started saying "oh he was always manipulative, always so this and that." basically saying everything he does has been bad and malicious. However, why would they hang out with him for years? I know Niki said the internet made her do it but most of them definitely wanted clout. And they only call him out publicly to gain more clout and likes. I don't believe they're friends with him in private, and if they are then it's even worse imo because they care more about their image rather than their friend. They really just threw Wilbur to the mud as soon as the whole thing happened. Idk but it makes me soo mad how they're all acting like they knew he was such an awful person. Me when I spend time with this horrible awful person who I've always hated meanwhile nobody is making me do that. Jack pisses me off sm, he literally cheated on his girlfriend yet he wants to call Wil a bad person. Niki makes me mad too because the internet was not forcing her to be friends with Wilbur. She was choosing to speak positively about him and talk to him. The way they all fucking act like Will was holding knives to their throat making them spend time with him is soo annoying. Sorry, just a rant.

They were dating the whole 2022 and months into 2023 (Shubb's words) idk how many months exactly but my guess is March/April 2023 cuz they used the same set up in April (probably Shubb was taking her stuff from Wil's flat)

I feel like they both had a certain idea in their mind but ended up badly. Their relationship was mutually toxic & I hope they both heal

The idea of marriage and kids + other issues

My only guess about Shubb with that idea that could make sense is that she was frequently fantasising about it (maybe Wil as well, especially at the beginning of the relationship)

They probably talked about the future at the beginning of their relationship (the biting, the mutual wish to get married & have children in the future, establishing boundaries, whether they keep their relationship public or private, ect) and it became an occuring theme during it (well or poorly communicated)

Wil either:

started having doubts about the idea (which is understandable)

could've changed his mind/starting to resent the idea if her daydreaming was an occuring theme in (like how many times can you hear the same thing before you snap or something?)

Another thing - compatibility:

alloromantic ace woman (who came out as demi during their relationship iirc but I think she's back to being ace)

Anon from the really long winded ask about truth and lies - more to say here, unfortunately.

The death threats and overall screaming of "Fuck Wilbur Soot" is frankly childish. So is the horrible vice versa—choice words against Shelby and distasteful nicknames. There is no need for that kind of animosity. Of course, it comes from people devoting too much of themselves to a situation that ultimately doesn't concern them. No one is asking you to violently support or condemn. There is something to be admired from their passion, I will admit, but ultimately? This is nothing.

Naturally, it is (unfortunately) the nature of the internet to act as a megaphone and for words and intentions to spiral and be misconstrued. Things that will not matter in a year will be blown out of proportion. I don't need to worry with myself with these kinds of things. My life is meant to be lived, not rotting in bed thinking about separating art.

I'm listening to I'll Look Good When I'm Sober, and despite it being a more relationship oriented song, it, funnily enough, feels as though it's a mirror to my struggles with mental health. I'd look so much better if I were "sober", or more in my depth with my assignments and myself. The lines about missing another person? I only miss the idea of someone. I think I'll listen to Wake Up & It's Over in whole, now.

(I do admit, it is a little funny/interesting for the only song to be released from Lovejoy post-accusations is an longing/relationship piece. One could argue it was in bad taste on their part, but they *were* teasing and leading up to posting it before the accusations. Though the line, "I miss the hangnails, bits of your skin", after the biting being a huge part of the accusations is. ???.)
