Burhouse is a bursona and sootbur centric AU, so there’s characters and plot we’ve got to stick to!

But here?

At sootblur this will be any other thoughts we have!

From fanmade bursonas, to aus, and just general talk about non-burhouse related bur interactions!

So yes, this is another sootbur blog, but just for anything and everything, not just that au.

Content may vary widely, from shitposts, incorrect quotes, aus, headcanons, and various unconnected ideas!

We will try to keep everything tagged appropriately, as sometimes we may allude to some shippy & nsfw themes, this is sootbur!

Burhouse

these are some very old initial burhouse design concepts! this dates back to about october 30th 2021.

some of the design elements stayed relatively the same for some of the burs used, others changed very drastically. it’s fun to look back on :D

The burs in burhouse are mainly characterized for fun, but there's some of them there to sort of, try to break up the stereotypes/norm for some characters.

Like Blue, Ghostbur, acts more like how Ghostbur does in canon rather than fanon. We noticed a trend, especially in fanfics where he's portrayed as helpless and ditsy (with some... especially problematic things in some of the nsfw fics).

For Ozy, Pogbur, as well as Soot, Revivebur, they also act more how they do in canon, and we don't play into the whole 'vilbur' role or villainization of him, especially about some of the mental illnesses he has (depression, anxiety, paranoia).

There are others that explore 'what if' scenarios. Jared, Simpbur, acts much like how we know him from the e-girl trilogy early burhouse. The redditor incel mindset you could say, but we explored how someone like this, could possibly change if given a chance and the right avenues to go down, and well, are willing to change. We do this through friends he makes, like with Tiptup, and also how he's been limited on the access he has to the spaces on the internet that feed into some severely toxic mentality.

This also goes for various other characters and their arcs and progression in the overarching story.
