"Sorry for this rant but i just need to get this out. i just finished watching the apology tour episode (pirated it) and holy shit. That entire episode REEKS of hypocrisy. So Blitz gets an entire episode dedicated to how hated he is, how people want him dead, how people want to rip him apart, stab him, etc, how he sees the lives he's ruined, etc PLUS merch of literal suicide encouragement towards him- but as soon as someone says that same shit about Valentino the entire fucking fandom including Viv gets so fucking defensive and protects him. I cannot believe they made a KYS Blitz shirt but dogpile on ppl wishing Valentino a brutal death. What the fuck even are these people. You cannot tell me Viv isn't creating a bunch of rapist apologists. Blitz is as much a fictional character as Valentino, yeah, but why can people excessively hate Blitz that way but defend the literal fucking serial rapist from the same treatment. I cannot for life of me understand this."

"I honestly think the show would be a lot more tolerable if it played more with time periods each of the characters come from. I know research can be seen as boring, but god this show could benefit from more than just surface level. Like, imagine Angel Dust living during The Pansy Craze of the 20s and 30s! Which was basically a rise in queer representation, with a focus on drag queens and effeminate queer men. A mobster during this era would be so damn interesting, but the concept is thrown to the wayside. It’s super disappointing to me."

This Scene Really Boils Down To Everything Wrong With Stolitz

In the end, Stolas is a babied spoiled brat who is pitied for ruining his own life and the narrative expects Blitzo to pick up his shit and coddle him like he was wronged. Seriously, if this was a straight ship everyone would be calling it toxic as hell and saying how bad it is that a woman has to take care of such a toxic man who brought this on himself. Blitzo is too nice for Stolas and if Vassago was really vouching for Stolas he would at least let him stay instead of Blitzo having to house his abuser who needs a lesson in humility instead of a pity fest.

I too, wanted to like Verosika; even a ton of people in the critical community seem to like her too!

But after what she did to Moxie all the way back in Spring Broken, the questionable ethics of her Succubus powers, and her transformation into a mouth-piece for Stolitz in the new episodes, I just couldn't get on board with her to any capacity.

Does she have potential? Yes! In the same way characters like Stella, Blitz, and many others had potential. But potential can only carry a character so far, and Veroskia's ran out rather quick for me.

While I do still think Veroskia is a good basis upon which to develop complex and revealing conversations about the misogyny and surprisingly conservative values of HB, her character itself is...lacking in many ways.

If you like her, that's wonderful! I personally just can't watch her without rolling my eyes or sighing with annoyance.

PS: Please go check out the guy who made this video! He's really talented and is one of the only shining beacons of hope for the critical community on Youtube.

Ya know Stolas stans have some really nerve to call Stella a sexual abuser because her and Stolas slept together when they had to because the only reason they were married was to make a child (Which was literally said in the show) then call Stolas a cute UwU soft gay boy who love Blitz soooo much when he is raping Blitz by coercing him into sleeping with him for the Grimware which Blitz needs for his job AND to make matters worse, Blitz was fighting for his life when he agreed and only seemed to agree to it to get Stolas off the phone. I just really hate that birdman and I just hope people will stop defending him.

the more I think back to episode 4 the more it doesn’t make sense. So husk is calling Angel out on being fake, right, but fake how? Because he’s he crosses boundaries and sexually harasses him? Because he’s mean? Thats not being fake that’s committing a sexual offense. there’s nothing to Angel/Anthony that distinct enough to show two sides of Angel’s persona. I’ve heard fans say Angel slips into more New Yorker accent when he’s Anthony but the VA is doing a bad pilot Angel dust impression I cant tell the difference. So is Angel fake because he acts promiscuous and raunchy in and out of pornos but he secretly hates it? But than loser baby has like about how he likes to sample every sex toy he can find and he’s a dick sucking hoe? So he isnt fake, Angel is just naturally promiscuous, but that doesnt mean deserve to be sex trafficked. Husk has no right to call Angel fake the same way Angel has no right to cross boundaries and try to coerce husk into sex. “You don’t know me, sex ain’t the thing I’m good at” yeah because this episode doesn’t say anything new about you either that you’re being sex trafficked and force to participate in pornos and you shoot guns sometimes. Also Charlie is so terrible in this episode, she is the nail in coffin for me. I hate episode 4

being mean or using sexual is defense mechanism it’s not being fake it’s a sign that someone is using avoid/push other away so people don’t get to close and they don’t form close attachments because did the trauma they’ve endured or are enduring. It’s a sign that someone needs help and you can choose to help or not.

Feels more like Angel Dust is masking his personality and how he truly feels regarding the abuse than being fake. Let’s say hypothetically Husk was right about Angel Dust being fake, wouldn’t Angel Dust lead everyone on especially Charlie and talk shit about her to other people along with contradicting himself. But in the show, he’s honest to Charlie about the hotel, why he’s here in the first place, and still participates in the activities even if he doesn’t put his best foot forward (no matter how dumb some of them are).

Either way it’s no excuse for Angel Dust to sexually harass any man who breathes near him. If he’d continue Angel Dust would’ve turned into a Valentino junior. There’s not much of a difference between Anthony and Angel Dust. Even before he met Valentino, he still used guns since Angel Dust is in a mob/mafia family. I wouldn’t be surprised when he was alive would confidently dress in drag, etc.

Who knows Vivziepop can surprise us and change everything in order to make Anthony and Angel Dust different from each other. Which is why I forever take her with a grain of salt. I never notice these guys accents and personally won’t care, never made a difference for me. 😂 Charlie sucked balls in that episode. The writers should’ve worded Husk better to be honest, Anon.

Stolas being a condescending, manipulative hypocrite would’ve been fine if it was intentional and the writing acknowledged this. Vivziepop knows he's horrible and is rewriting Helluva Boss to make him into an “innocent victim.” All she’s doing is blaming everyone else for being angry at Stolas for how poorly he treats them and excusing his behavior.

If Vivziepop had kept the Goetia prince as a villain or at least acknowledged he's a terrible person, it would make him less insufferable. Either of these options would've been better than babying Stolas and treating everyone else as the problem.

I much would've preferred for Stolas to have remained the overarching villain of the HB series like what was initially planned before Viv and Brandon decided to throw that away in exchange for a toxic ass ship that literally cannot be fixed no matter how hard Spindlehorse tries.
