Sophie Archibald is my name. Ms. Archibald for strangers; Soph for family and friends. 26 years old. Graduated from Harvard. Junior Business Manager at Victoria's Secrets.

"I look like some kid’s sketch book exploded on my skin." He laughed, looking at the flower tattoo on his hand. "My parents hate tattoos." He noted, stuffing his hand into his pocket.

"At work, I’m really good with people. Too good, actually. Other than that, I don’t have much interaction with people." He admitted. "People scare me, most of the time."

"My apartment isn’t much of a home anyway." He shrugged and looked over at the girl. "Alcohol helps me to loosen up. I probably would have ran off, instead of conversing, if I were sober."

"So you have tattoos because your parents hate them, in some sort of rebel attitude?" Sophie inquired, curious, and thinking all the things she had done for the same reason.

"But you seem pretty nice. If you hadn't tell me, I wouldn't have known that people scare you," she said sincerely, looking at Toni.

"Do you live by your own?" she asked.

"Sounds like a drag." Holly didn’t really have to catch up with anything at the gym when she started. She had about a week of training, then was given clients. It was pretty straightforward. "Junior Business Manager? I’m not a business person, but that seems kind of high up for a newbie." Holly nodded, looking the girl up and down. Sophie seemed pretty young, but she must be qualified. "Me? I’m a personal trainer. A little less office-oriented, but I like it," she said, grinning at the other girl.

"Thinking back, I actually have had a couple meetings dressed like this," Holly said, recalling being in shorts and sneakers for at least two "serious talks" with her boss. For all the work, she loved the informal atmosphere of her job, and wouldn’t have it any other way. "You probably have to dress a little nicer, right?" she asked, grimacing at the concept.

"Maybe. It's my first job, I got the offer right after I got graduated and came back to San Francisco." She shrugged, looking at Holly. "As long as you like it, is cool, don't you think?" Sophie smiled back at the girl.

"Oh, I guess you were working and the boss needed a meeting with you?" She laughed softy, tilting her head to one side. "Yes, I do have to dress formally. Otherwise, I can't get into the office." She shook her head smiling. "I like formal clothes. However, when I'm out of work, I prefer wearing jeans and a simple blouse or something alike."

Lily smirked confidently as she slid off the stool. She threw a twenty on the bar to cover the drinks and linked her hands with Sophie’s loosely. “You wont regret this,” Lily promised, leading Sophie threw the crowd. When they got to the back room the music was quieter, the light was more dim, and they definitely had more privacy. “Is this private enough,” Lily asked while backing Sophie against the wall. Lily had a tad dominant side to her that occasionally came out.

Sophie followed Lily through the crowd, thinking, "I'm sure I won't." She was looking around the back room, when suddenly got pinned against the wall, with Lily's body very close to hers. "It is private enough, and I really like your hot attitude," she mumbled.

"I know exactly what you mean. All work and no play, right?" Holly said, laughing at Sophie’s description of her inner monologue. While she loved her job, it could definitely get overwhelming sometimes. Not to the level of "consuming her life", but enough that she needed to take a day or two off. Suddenly curious, she asked, "Where do you work that takes so much out of you?" Holly realized that Sophie could be exaggerating, but she wanted to find out for sure.

"Nope, I’m actually on my way to a business meeting," Holly said, miming picking up a briefcase and straightening a tie. "It just so happens that I can jog there." She laughed briefly at her own joke, before winking at Sophie. "Just kidding."

"Kind of. I've been catching up with my work since I'm new there." Sophie sighed, remembering all the paperwork she'd been having from the start. Every time she was finishing with all her work, her nice boss got the way to give her more and more. "Oh, I work at Victoria's Secret. I'm the Junior Business Manager. What about you?" Sophie inquired with a smile on her lips.

"Nice outfit for a business meeting. I'm pretty sure you will impress everyone there." She laughed, figuring a big table with lot of people in suit and tie, and Holly in the middle with her sporty style.

"I don’t want to be a rock star. I can;t sing or play any instruments. But the job I have is the only one that was willing to hire a guy with a big ass tattoo on his neck. I haven’t really got a professional look going on. You, on the other hand, you look professional."

A small smile spread across his face. “You’re more brave than I am. I’m not really good around people. And I get upset quickly, so, I like to know what’s going on. So, I’ll avoid the whole walking in the the dark with my eyes closed thing.”

"Yeah, except I’d rather not join either. I don’t really know what I want. It’s not this, though. I wanted another drink. I should have gotten tequila. That would have put me flat on my ass."

"I got what you say. Well, at least I try to look as much professional as I can." Sophie smiled a bit, looking at the guy.

"I'm not that good when it comes to treating people. But I am good at working under pressure. So in that kind of situations, my brain tends to react really fast."

"And then you wouldn't be able to come back home, right?" she inquired.

Thoughts of undressing Sophie ran through Lily’s mind while a piece of her hair was twirled through the woman’s fingers. The fingers that would surely bring a magical experience. “I can take you somewhere quieter, where we can talk more privately.” Lily made sure to emphasize the last word with a wink. She was talking about the back room of the club, somewhere she often went with her “Friends.” Lily was no stranger to this club, she frequented it often.

Sophie could feel the eyes of the girls going over her body again and again. "I'd love to have some private moment with you," she said while she bit her lip gently. It had been a long time since a girl made her feel what she was feeling for Lily.

"Don’t I know it." He agreed. "Sounds like you’re set, then, right? I doubt that I’ll ever get a good job, like that. I never even finished high school, and I’ve got a shit ton of visible tattoos. Unless, I’m planning on being a rock star, my job options are very narrow."

He nodded, slowly. “Yeah, it pays the rent and not much else, but I’m still living. So, it’s alright, for now.” He  ran a rand through his tousled hair and looked over a the girl. “So, do you always walk with your eyes closed, at night? That just seems a bit dangerous, don’t you think?”

Toni shook his head. “I can’t fix my problems and I’m not even going to try. I’ve learned to live with them and just accept that I’m not ever going to amount to much.”

"You could say that." She nodded. "I think that if you like what you do and get to make your living with that, it doesn't matter what you do. If you want to be a rock star, go ahead and do it." 

"No, I don't usually do it. But I'm not afraid of doing it. I could just... hit someone with my purse in case they try to take advantage of me. And I'm good at running with heels. So no, I don't find it that dangerous." She looked around just in case, but the truth was that she was not a person who could be scaried easily.

Sophie shrugged. "I guess that's one way to face them. Like they say: if you can't with them, join them." She joked lamely.

Lily’s confidence only continued to grow with the wink and being called pretty. Lily knew she was on the right track with this woman and by no time she would have her eating out of the palm of her hand. The step closer took Lily by surprise, but she didn’t let that show. On second thought, maybe the woman would have Lily eating out of the palm of her hands. Lily rested her elbow on the bar and leaned forward as well, their lips inches from touching while they spoke. From this angle, Lily could easily see down the woman’s dress, and she appreciated what she saw. “How is a gorgeous woman like you here alone,” Lily inquired out loud.

That woman was hot, really hot. Sophie hoped that she couldn't notice all the naughty thoughts she was having in mind. She took a lock of Lily's hair with her finger and played with it. She was flattered at her attention, and could feel her skin getting hot under Lily's glance. "I am out to have some fun, see what the night had for me. And I like what I see," she answered while looking into her eyes,

"That sounds like a nice getaway, but reality seems to always get in the way." He mumbled, looking down at his feet. Junior business manager. Well, damn, that sounds like a job to be proud of, he thought. “Wow, you seem a bit young, for such a big title.” 

He thought about lying, when she asked him what his occupation was, but there was no use in that. “I’m an exotic dancer. Hence, why I can’t always enjoy nice nights. I’m usually working.” He shrugged, trying to brush it off.

"It doesn’t really help me, honestly. Rather i do talk about them or not, they’re still there and I can’t do anything about them." He knew that he was being a bit cryptic, but then again, she was a complete stranger.

"You can never escape from reality for too long." She sighed, looking up to the sky. "Why thank you. Maybe I am, who knows," she said criptically.

She find her job really interesting, but didn't dig a lot because she didn't know the guy and could sense some discomfort from the guy. "That makes sense." She thought about her own little secret, blushing a bit and wondering if the guy worked at her friend's place.

"We are the only ones that can fix our own problems," she just added. Not that she was wise or had degree in solving problems or something.

"it’s fine! Happens to everyone," she said, shaking back. "Nice to meet you too, under any circumstances." Letting go of her hand, she put her iPod back in her pocket, making sure it was secure this time.

"Any reason why you’re in the park this afternoon?" she asked, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. Running was drifting further and further from her mind; once she stopped, it was hard to get started again. Besides, making conversation was the polite thing to do, and she could always run later.

"Yes, you're right." She smiled, and shrugged slightly after that at her question. "Well, yes, there is. Work is kind of consuming my life so I told myself: "Sophie, stop it for a while and go get some relax." So here I am, following my own advice."

Sophie laughed softly, leaning her head to one side. "I don't need to ask you what you're doing here in this beautiful day, you're clearly working out." Sophie didn't mind getting distracted from her inner conversation. It was actually good getting to chat with some nice people.

"Maybe, i should try it. god knows that I see far too much crap, walking with my eyes open. It might be a good change." Toni listened, as she spoke about work. "What do you do?" He hoped that he wasn’t prying. He didn’t want to upset a complete stranger.

"I guess that venting is good. I don’t usually talk about my problems, though. So, not venting is perfectly fine too. At least, it is, to me." Toni sighed and looked up at the sky. "It’s a really nice night. I wish that I actually took time to enjoy nights like this."

"You close your eyes, let your imagination fly far away from reality. Sometimes it's good, provided that you don't actually get your expectations too high for some thoughts you're having." She shook her head smiling. "Don't mind me if I'm talking too much shit."

She looked at Toni, tilting her head a bit. "I'm the Junior Business Manager at Victoria's Secret here in San Francisco." She smiled proudly at the guy, wishing she didn't sound too arrogant. "And what about you?" 

"I got your point, I don't talk about my problems a lot. But from time to time, saying them out loud may help a bit." She nodded, remembering a couple of times when venting was the only way out to some of her problems. "Indeed it is. Why can't you enjoy nights out?" She asked.

"It seems fine," Holly said, turning it over in her hands. "Maybe a little crack, but it’s nothing I can’t live with." She smiled at the girl, wondering how she hadn’t noticed running past her the first time. Holly tended to focus on one thing at a time, blocking out all else. She was listening to a great song at the time, which meant she didn’t even see the people around her.

Realizing it would be rude to continue her run without at least introducing herself to the girl, she stuck out her hand. “I’m Holly, by the way. What’s your name?”

She looked relieved at the girl. She didn't look that kind of person who would hit her for almost breaking her iPod, to which she seemed to be attached, but you never know.

"That's great then. And I'm so sorry again, I was not paying attention where I was walking." She smiled softly, and held hands with the girl, shaking it. "Sophie is my name. Nice to meet you under this circumstances." She giggled.

Before Lily spoke to the girl again, Lily told the bartender, “Put her drinks on my tab,” and she sent the girl a wink. The little squeeze that Sophie gave Lily gave her all the confidence she needed. Sophie’s eyes grazing over her body didn’t hurt either. “That I am. A beautiful girl like you can’t be alone though, where is your date,” Lily asked while pretending to look around for Sophie’s date.

Sophie looked astonished at the girl, and winked back at her. "Thank you, pretty." She noticed Lily's eyes looking around and decided to take a step closer to her. "I would say that's a shame, but I'm actually glad you're here alone. Just like me..." She stared at Lily's lip for a moment, and then looked again into her eyes.

It had been a long day, to say the least. One of the machines at the gym had decided to break down, so Holly had to rework the schedules of at least 3 people. With the craziness of the day still in her system, she figured the best thing to do was go for a run. After putting on new clothes and grabbing her iPod, she went out the door and jogged to a nearby park.

Holly loved running with music, which is why when she dropped her iPod, all she could think was, “Why did the song stop?”. Realizing what happened, she turned around to go get it, noticing that a girl was walking by it. “Excuse me, I dropped my iPod,” she said, tapping the girl on the shoulder, before bending down to pick it up.

Sophie was immersed in her own thoughts, looking frequently at the sky, or some kids playing with a ball. It was really relaxing for her all those little details that she was appreciating. There were quite a lot of people in the park, so she didn't notice a girl running near her until Sophie felt her hand on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see it. Is it broken?" She looked at the girl examining it, waiting for her answer.

Toni chuckled and placed his phone back into his pocket. He hadn’t even noticed that the girl had been walking around with her eyes closed. A laugh that was too loud came from his short frame and he quickly covered his mouth.

"Hard night is an understatement." He shook his head. "Work is a pain in the ass and the club was too loud and I haven’t nearly drank enough to forget about how shitty life is." He rambled. "Sorry, you didn’t want to hear my life story."

Sophie looked at the man as he laughed and couldn't help it but laugh too. "Alright, yes, I was walking with my eyes closed. It's a new kind of therapy, haven't you heard about it?" she invented, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Oh, tell me about pain in the ass. My boss is one, but I don't want to remember him right now." Sophie rolled her eyes at the simple thought of his annoying and dominating boss. "No no, it's fine. I guess sometimes it's good to vent with some stranger that you meet at the park." She smiled, shrugging.

Lily turned back around to the bar when her drink was placed there. She took a sip of the delicious liquid and was about to turn back to look at the dance floor when a hottie with a body walked up next to her. Expecting the girl to talk to her instead of the barman, Lily was slightly disappointed when the girl ordered her drink. As the woman ordered, Lily couldn’t help but take in her body. She had a gorgeous body, and the dress made sure to show that. The disappointment turned around when she turned to greet Lily. “Hello to you to,” Lily said in her most flirtatious voice. She held out her hand for the girl to shake, “I’m Lily.”

Sophie scanned the girl with her eyes, biting her lip quickly because she had a hell of a body. She looked back at the barman as he handed her drink. "Thank you." She then paid attention to the woman again. "My name's Sophie," she said while holding her hand and shaking it, squeezing it gently before separating them. "Excuse my daring, but are you here alone?" she said, taking a sip from her drink and biting the straw seductively.

Toni left the club and began to walk home. It was a bit chilly and he was slightly drunk, but he needed the fresh air. Spotting a park, he began to walk around. Feeling his phone vibrate, he pulled it out of his pocket and began to scroll through his texts. He didn’t even notice the girl in front of him and bumped into her.

"I’m so sorry. I wasn’t watching where I was going. Technology." He said, holding up his phone.

Still walking with her eyes closed, Sophie suddenly got herself running into some guy that was walking on the park too. She looked at him holding his phone, and shook her head.

"Oh, it's fine. I shouldn't be walking around with my eyes closed anyways." A quick smile appeared on her lips as she could appreciate the smell of alcohol from the guy standing in front of her. "Hard night, huh?"
