I thought I'd share some branding and visual design I did for a client a while back. This is a poster, postcard and facebook banner I created as part of the rebranding I did for them. I love it when I get the chance to create the same design through different lenses like this! I also don't normally get the chance to do such a large brand overhaul where I work with typography and colours so this project was a really fun change.

The upside of non-stop travel is at least I get to catch up on watching all the movies I neglected to see since starting Uni. Last flight I saw "Hidden Figures" and its made me even more excited for Grace Hopper next week! This is a little gif I made as I continue to be amazed at all the things NASA has accomplished 🚀
A fishy little result of my goal of drawing something every single day. I also want to use this goal start expanding my art styling and working with new tools and media - I have a big embroidery project planned that should help with this!

My experience as an intern at...
Last summer I was lucky enough to work as a UX intern at Google and it was an amazing experience. On the first day, everyone gets the iconic propeller hat. Nothing bonds interns together as quickly as all looking silly together.
You also get a backpack and at this stage you feel like you’re heading off for your first day of school with your brand new backpack and insatiable appetite to learn everything you can.
On your first day you also meet your intern host who will be your mentor throughout the internship and the one to help you with your project. It always amazes me how many people volenteer their time and effort to mentoring interns. I will always be grateful to the many people at Google, both my host and others, who took time to teach me new skills.
This summer there were
other interns. One of my favourite thing about Google is the huge variety in people and personalities that you meet there. Everyone has their own fascinating story to tell. I was 1 of only
I love hanging out with engineers - they always have a fresh new perspective to bring to any design discussion. Having an abundance of technical interns meant there was no shortage of engineers for me to befriend.
I was lucky enough to be on the Google Maps Mobile team which is full of amazing people. A lot of interns work on projects that are internal or experimental and stay confidential for a long, long time. However on Maps all your work is public facing so you can actually show your friends and family what you’ve been up to all summer!
But by far the best part of the internship was getting to design every single day surrounded by some of the most talented designers in Australia.
