James started working for the North Western Railway in his early twenties, and couldn't help but feel great and the best when he learned his engine was going to be used for mixed traffic. Proud and very vain, he always boasts about his bright red paint job and uniform. He's simply vain, always concerned with looking good, though that doesn't stop him from also being a good friend, always learning from his mistakes.

- He carries a pocket mirror to work.

- He doesn't like being reminded of his accident, but Thomas does.

- He wanted to be like Gordon when he was young.

- He gets along well with Edward; they're friends, but it used to be different.

Gordon joined the railway at the young age of 22 of his own free will, with the dream of becoming the most important driver in the place, and of course he did, driving a locomotive as big and strong as himself. As a young man, he felt the complete opposite, but now he was a role model for the rest of the beginners. Of course, he's proud, a bit boastful, and believes that he is the most important thing, but deep down his heart is still very warm and full of love.

- He hates being reminded of his past mistakes, and the one responsible for that is, of course, Thomas. 😀

- He loves receiving compliments; they brighten his day.

- One of his favorite things is talking to his colleagues and having them talk to him.

- Over time, he begins to mature and becomes a wise conductor.

- Thomas is the reason for his old age. 💔

- Although he initially treated Edward badly, he understands him and ends up empathizing with him; after all, they're going to be the oldest.

A truly calm person, though a bit serious. When he feels comfortable, he reveals his sensitivity and insecurities. He started his job quite young due to limited opportunities, but he certainly enjoys it, thanks to his friends. He's a bit distant with new recruits, but eventually, his empathetic side seeks to help them as he would have liked to be helped when he was one. He's a little timid, but he remains strong and brave.

- Due to poverty in his youth, despite not being very old, he has poor health and gets sick quite often.

- He hated pulling the flying fish, but eventually got used to it.

- He suffered aftereffects from the strong smell of fish.

-He loves nature for its tranquility and respects it greatly.

- His favorite place to stop and rest will always be the forest.

- He likes dogs and wants to have one.

- He hates being told he looks older.

- He didn't like Edward at first, but then he became his best friend because of their similar situations.

- He likes calm and sometimes being alone and at peace.

- His worst nightmare was dreaming that he was turned into a fish.
