Moving to Nottingham

Hi, I’m just writing a post which hopefully people see... I’ve got just a couple more months left at University before I move to Nottingham for my new job (which I’ve started part-time). I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to where to live/where best to avoid? And if anybody else is in the same boat as me (because I don’t know anyone in Nottingham and I’m going to be a total loner). My job is based in Beeston so somewhere that’s easily commutable to there would be great
