How do you do the patterns in your backgrounds and stuff? Is there a brush to use in SAI?

Ah so a friend of mine downloaded bunch of textures so I can boot leg some backgrounds.

Idk where she got them from but I do believe there’s a bunch of downloaded stuff for Sai just out there like brushes and such. I honestly wouldn’t know how to download them because she did it and I usually have to watch a how to video twenty million times to understand step one.

There is another trick I like to do to bootleg textures in the background, but since I’m walking around in nature I can’t really explain it. When I get home I’ll explain my bootleggers ways.

AIGHT! YOU WANNA KNOW HOW OL’ BOX MAKES BOOTLEGGY PATTERN BACKGROUNDS???

Well here~

1.) Open up a black and white pattern~ 

2.) Go to the Layer Tab then hit Luminance to Transparency  

3.) Shove it in the background and wing it as you please~ The white areas will ‘disappear’ and if you Preserve Opacity the layer the is on pattern and color only the black lines will be colored~ 

I’ll Scale or Free Deform if need be~ 

But that’s How I bootleg pattern backgrounds in Sai~
