There's the sound of a animal scratching at the door, seemingly trying to get in. It doesn't sound too big, but it's determined. A dog-like whine comes from the other side as it sticks it's snout to the bottom of the door and sniffs furiously before starting to dig at the door again.
static furrows their eyebrows, looking through the little (handmade) peephole in the door. They’ve always had a soft spot for dogs and things like it, so they opened the door just a crack. Their voice had a deep British accent laced in it as they spoke;
“hello..?”
The animal stopped, jumping back at the voice and letting out a hoarse and rather jarring bark. It’s golden tail curled over it’s back and wagging lightly. it was a sand colored, small to medium sized dog with pointy ears and white paws. It glared at the door warily and took a few steps back, pacing a bit and seemily thinking of what it wanted to do. It stopped to square up the door and hop on it’s front paws a few times before letting out another harsh bark and sneezing.
Static smiled softly, seemingly unphased by the dog. They leaned down, opening the door a little more. They knew they were going to get into shit by the rest of their gang for this, but whatever.
“aren’t you cute.. ”
They mumbled softly, trying not to scare the dog.
The dirty dog let out a rather embarrassing yelp as the door moved. Surprised. It stepped over to the left a little to peer into where ever the door lead to. It’s tail sagged as it spotted the human, taking a step back and tilting its head. It sniffed the air before dropping it’s head, staring at the person and blinking.
A confused look appeared on Static’s face again. They tilted their head a little, now basically crouching in front of the dog.
“do you have a home?”
Static asked, though they knew they weren’t getting a response. They ran a hand through their greasy black hair, sighing softly.
The dog stepped back once more, but dropped it’s head further to sniff the ground. Curiously eyeing the human before wagging it’s tail slowly and daring forward to try and peer past them. Lifting it’s head as high as it could without having to look away from the human and sniffing the air. It stopped and sat down, tilting it’s head.
“I’m guessin’ ya don’t. you’d probably cook in the sun and radiation. ”
Static moved out of the way a little bit, seeing if the dog would come in or just look and leave.
The dog stood, seeming to take a half step back before rocking forward and padding closer to the door with alert ears. It sniffed the leg of the human before sneezing and peeking into the building, walking in when looking wasn’t satisfying it’s curiosity to it’s fullest.
It did an odd jump forward before backing up, only to step forward again. A few of these later it was cautiously walking into the building with it’s nose to the floor.
