She  shrugs,  arms  crossed  over  her  chest  in  an  attempt  to  seem  casual,  unbothered.  What  does  it  matter  to  her  if  Kayn  is  so  insecure  in  himself  that  he  must  cling  to  the  nearest  woman  to  cope  ?

An  indignant  sniff.  ❝  Well,  we  can't  all  have  good  taste,  I  suppose.  ❞

Wait.  'Of  all  people?'

She  lifts  an  eyebrow.  ❝  What,  am  I  not  .  .  .   beardly  enough  ?  ❞

some  important  notes  wrt  my  shadowheart  portrayal  ;

firstly,  her  hair  is  much  shorter  when  she  cuts  it.  reference  for  her  haircut  found  here.

she  does  inherit  her  father's  lycanthropy,  but  it  does  not  manifest  until  act  3  after  she  spares  the  nightsong  &  determines  to  save  her  parents.  shar  suppressed  her  ability  to  shift  while  she  was  under  her  thumb.  this  will  influence  a  lot  of  my  writing,  especially  act  3  onwards.

in  my  personal  canon,  she  shifts  for  the  first  time  when  getting  into  a  fight  with  iago  darlington  of  accultant  fame  before  the  party  leaves  rivington.  unless  plotted  otherwise,  this  is  the  default.

she  is  still  very  much  afraid  of  wolves  as  i  don't  think  that's  something  she  can  easily  shake,  so  she  will  be  having  a  not  very  fun  time  coping  with  that  newfound  lycanthropy!  yay!

ex-sharran  =/=  selûnite.  i  do  not  write  her  as  a  cleric  of  selûne.  i  think  that  is  way  too  much  of  a  sudden  change  considering  how  she  was  raised.  she  completely  loses  her  cleric  abilities  after  rejecting  shar.

her  new  class  depends  on  her  character  development.  personally,  i  imagine  her  becoming  a  druid  eventually,  but  she'd  likely  start  off  as  a  rogue,  based  on  her  background.

puck  darlington  of  my  own  oc  fame  is  an  important  figure  from  her  past.  she  does  not  remember  him,  but  their  relationship  influences  some  aspects  of  how  i  write  her.

i  will  be  drawing  inspiration  from  her  early  access  personality  in  addition  to  what  you  see  in  the  final  version.  this  means  she  may  be  even  meaner  to  your  muse,  especially  in  act  1. sorry. or maybe you're welcome idk.

Pets  were  not  allowed  in  the  cloister.  She  knew  that  fact.  It  was  ingrained  so  deeply  in  her  mind  that  sometimes  she  flinched  at  even  the  thought  of  petting  one  of  the  many  strays  wandering  the  Gate's  streets.  There  was  a  memory  just  out  of  her  reach  ;  it  reeked  of  decay  &  tasted  like  choking  back  tears,  a  dozen  pairs  of  eyes  watching  the  way  her  hands  trembled, wound flaring sharply.

Her  answer  was  automatic,  almost  stern.  ❝  I  wouldn't  have  any.  As  cute  as  I'm  sure  a  pet  would  be,  they  would  only  be  a  distraction.  ❞

Then she  hesitated,  the  briefest  flicker  of  a  crease  in  her  brow.

❝  Besides,  Lady  Shar  is  not  one  to  keep  her  followers  idle.  I'd  hardly  have  the  time  to  care  for  one,  anyway.  It  would  be  cruel  to  neglect  them,  wouldn't  you  agree  ?   ❞
