"You’re such a bad liar, Yamaguchi. Your whole face it red."
When he got close enough, he stopped and bent over slightly with a smirk on a face. Tadashi didn’t think he could actually hide this from him, did he? He could get it out of him, easy. All he had to do was just find an opening and that phone would be as good as his.
"You’re all embarrassed about it, it can’t be nothing." He told him. "What’s the harm in letting me know what it is? What’s the worse that could possibly happen?"
There was really no way out of this, was there.
If he came out and told the truth, Tsukki would tease him, and Tadashi would feel even more like a loser.
If he continued to hide it and was found out anyway, Tsukki would still tease him, and Tadashi would feel even worse for having kept up the charade!
His throat closed up, and he could only swallow thickly; Tsukki was towering over him again, but it felt different from the usual... He had him pinned, and he wasn't even touching Yamaguchi.
Nonetheless he found himself pressing further back into the chair, eyes wide, biting his lip. Don't say anything stupid.
{ Suga & Yamaguchi } Spring Cleaning?
Koushi arrived just behind Yamaguchi, and he grimaced right away.
Though it was understandable that the place wouldn’t be a hundred percent clean all the time (because they are, after all, just a bunch of boys), the mansion was starting to look pretty… Disgusting.
Plus there’s two girls living under the same roof; wouldn’t all that lack of organization make them uncomfortable? They shouldn’t trouble their managers like that!
Rolling up the sleeves of his black hoodie, the blond clapped his hands together.
"Well, I guess we have no choice but do a clean up!"
"Ah, Suga-senpai!" Sugamama to the rescue!
Tadashi was incredibly glad someone had showed up, because this certainly wasn't a task he could take on alone--and someone so reliable, too! Of course Suga-senpai was the best candidate.
"Yeah, yeah--I'll help," he chimed in, preparing himself as well; not only did he roll up his sleeves, but he scanned the room and its contents... mentally preparing himself for war.
"...Do you think we can really handle this by ourselves...?" Maybe they should recruit another hand or two? But if Suga-senpai thought they could do it, Tadashi would definitely believe him. He was their former vice-captain, after all.
"Not a girl, huh?"
Figures. But he’d never say that to Tadashi. It would probably hurt quite a bit, if not a lot if he let that one word slip. But that didn’t excuse the fact that he was still curious what that text said. If he was so worked up about it, it had to be something interesting.
"Then what is it if it’s not some girl?" Tsukishima walked over to his flustered little friend. He just had to know what this text was about. "What’s in this text that’s making you blush so much? Tell me."
"I'm... not blushing," he protested, though he totally was. Tadashi watched his friend approach and hurriedly grabbed his phone, shoving it behind him, between the back of the chair and himself.
Tsukki wasn't going to fight him for it, right? He wasn't that petty...
Maybe...
"I told you, it's nothing...!" Even though in his mind it was definitely something. It wasn't often that Tsukki was so blatantly affectionate, so he had to cherish every bit, but now that he'd been caught red-handed...
Well, red-faced... he couldn't help it; he was already in too deep to turn back.
"Huh, you’re face is red, you know?" Tsukishima teased. "Who exactly was that text from? You’re making such a fuss over it."
Tadashi was acting a bit weird, though he found it to be pretty amusing and actually a bit cute of his childhood friend. All the more it made him want to tease him.
"Did you a girl finally give you there number, Yamaguchi?" He continued to ask, just to see his reaction. "What did they say? Come on. Tell me. I promise I won’t say anything."
"Wh-what? Why would I, no, that's not--" As if he really could get a girl's number! Girls never approached him with that kind of interest unless the interest was directed at Kei. Always, always asking about him...
Just because he was the friend.
"Tsukki, come onnn," he pleaded, nearly whining. "You know there's no girl..." Tadashi almost sighed with it; it was pathetic, but true. And probably always would be.
Self-consciously, his hands went up to his face, as if he could force the color out of it. But he could definitely feel the heat there. How embarrassing.
"Calm down, Yamaguchi. It’s just a text message."
!!!
"Ts-ts-ts-TSUKKI!" Tadashi practically bolted up from his desk in his bedroom, Tsukishima staring at him from the threshold.
"I, uh, didn't see you there!" Oh, god, was he still blushing? Was it getting worse? Probably. Oh no oh no oh no--what should he do--
He panicked.
"What text message?" And internally he's already berating himself because he basically just lied to his best friend. He can't even meet his eyes.
In which Tsukki talks about a girl, and Yamaguchi has trouble coping.

You really are a great guy, Yamaguchi. You’re my best friend and I hope we’ll get to know each other for a long time.
Spring Cleaning? // OPEN to Tigerdoves
Tadashi walks into the mansion's common room, and he doesn't like what he sees. In fact, he's frozen still by it, and can only stare...
A bunch of sweaty teenaged jocks living together in a single space, most of them unemployed students--
Not a good idea.
The furniture is pathetic. The decoration is nonexistent. The place is, quite frankly, trashed.
Tigerdove Mansion is an embarrassment. And that needs to be fixed, immediately!
"I got here just a few days ago." He answered with a small grin. He wouldn’t really say it to the other, but it was a bit of a relief to see his childhood friend here of all places. After all, Yamaguchi was one of the few people he actually considered a friend. "You never asked me, so I never said any thing. What about you? Why’re you here?"
"I see..." He nodded.
"Actually, I've been here for a couple of--m-months, now, haha..." He smiled awkwardly; Yamaguchi hadn't really realized he'd been here that long until he was made to think about it.
His tone shifted, and his grin became more appreciative. "But, um. It's really good to see you again, Tsukki." Tentatively he reached up an arm to clap his friend on the back, but in a split moment of spontaneity, he thought, oh, what the hell, and dragged the beanpole down by the shoulder into a sloppy hug, hoping he would let this one slide.
Tsukishima turned around to the sound of a familiar voice. Only one person called him by that name. “Yamaguchi. I didn’t think I’d see you here.”
"I-It really is you!" Yamaguchi bounded towards his childhood friend, awe and excitement melding together on his face. "When did-- How-- Why didn't you tell me!" He laughed breathlessly.
"Tsukki?"
Kageyama was only mildly surprised that he recognized the voice. More surprised that one of his teammates was here, in this mansion. Probably meant there were others around. Well.
"Yamaguchi." His frown lessens and a wave of relief rushes through him. Despite having barely communicated with Yamaguchi on the team, he was mildly thankful that it was him who showed up than some other select Karasuno individuals (the other two middle blockers come to mind).
"I just got here…" Kageyama glances down the vast hallway before looking back at Yamaguchi. He gestures towards the single bag slung over his shoulder. "This is all I’ve got. I can manage."
He still looks confused but pursues with another question. “Who else is here, exactly?”
Sure, he and Kageyama had never really talked much back in Karasuno--both of them were either occupied with school or practice or their other friends (ever since moving here Yamaguchi had finally detached from Tsukki's hip)--but maybe they could change that this time around.
A new place, a clean slate.
"Packed lightly, huh..." Ah, well. Not that it mattered. Should Kageyama need anything more, they probably already had it... Living in a mansion and all. "Um, well, there's a lot of us from Karasuno already! You'd know everyone here, I think; we've played them all before. And, there's... from your middle school, ahaha..."
He could feel himself growing inexplicably anxious at the mention.
"There's also Oikawa-san..." They weren't on bad terms, right? Maybe? Hopefully?
B-Big….
This mansion was huge! He was sent here, but looking at the place in person was certainly another story! Did he even want to enter this mansion?
… Not really.
A frown spread across his face. It was probably a nightmare in there. But hey, maybe there was food! That’d be nice. Maybe.
This kid looks like he needs a babysitter. Someone’s gotta be willing to take up the job, right?
Yamaguchi was walking through the north hall when a figure outside caught his attention.
He approached the big windows and looked down from the second floor, squinting at the black mop of hair... Yes, the hairstyle, the height, the figure, but where was--
Ah, and there's the signature frown.
"Kageyama-kun!" Soon enough Tadashi was rushing down the stairs (it took a tad longer to navigate while trying not to trip impressively) and meeting the other boy at the door.
"I didn't know you were moving in today!" Though it wasn't really unusual for him to be out of the loop. "Where's your stuff? Can I help...?"

Yamaguchi-kun, I'm sorry, but Tsukishima-kun won't make it...
"Senpai... You can't say that. Don't say that. You can't joke about something like that--don't lie. Please. Why would you say that? He's okay... Tsukki's fine... He'll be fine, I know it... Tsukki's always fine..."
He crouches down and folds his hands together, voice quiet, eyes empty, lips moving.
You'll be okay, right, Tsukki? Come back... Prove it to me.
Please, please come back.
Oh, Yamaguchi. If only there was somebody out there who loved you.
...Hinata-kun what are you trying to say
