The Trickster frowned slightly as he glanced around the forest, brows furrowing slightly. Well, this was certainly not where he had intended to be; that was just lovely. That was what he got for trying a new method of traveling the realms, after all. The voice that sounded from behind the God caught him by surprise and he spun around quickly, eyeing the man that approached him. “Yes, actually, I am, I’m afraid.”

How that term would never grow dull to him. Only his little mortal could say it with equal parts disdain and subjugation. It never failed to amuse him in its novelty. Just like that term - as you wish. Charming even in its unending and stilted repetition.
“Ah. So polite even when I throw your good work back in your face. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy our little chats,” Jareth hummed, eyes bright with coy mischief as he slowly reclined in his seat. A lazy flick of his wrist brought a small crystal into existence, the piece rolling back and forth in his palm naturally.
“What I wish to speak with you about, little Robin, is a change in duties. Consider it a promotion, if you will,” Jareth mused as he twisted his palm, rolling the crystal over the back of his hand before flinging it forward. It bounced once. Twice. Then stopped directly in front of the mortal on the table, unmoving. “You will go with me into the Labyrinth. It’s high time we moved you from Scullery Maid to Groundskeeper.”
He paused as he watched Robin’s face carefully, brow arched high, “Unless you think you’d be unsuited to the task –”
how did that seem like a promotion; he wondered. At least in the castle; he wasn’t bothered by the creatures that wandered the Labyrinth. Blue hues stared down at the crystal as it stopped in front of him; fingers slowly reaching out and playing with it. He moved it back and forth slowly before he looked back upon the king.

he wondered if the male grew tried of him; a frown gracing his lips at the thought. the last thing he wanted to do was to upset him; knowing the full wrath the king can inflict. He had scares to prove it.
