it’s been a difficult week. i found out that my company won’t be having a summer internal round and is unsure whether there will be a winter one as well. it’s not the end of the world, but now my career path is unclear. i will, no matter what, be a CGMBS--but when and how? the competition is high and requirements are strict in california. if i try to apply to CA schools, i’ll most likely not get in. if i try to work at another company with an internal program, i’m starting from the bottom again and who knows if i’ll be chosen. if i study out of state as a MLS, i’ll be paying high tuition. i feel helpless and mainly disappointed. it’s not the end of the world, but i’m certainly tired of having my life on hold.

i’m at a point in my life where everyone i know is getting engaged and/or now buying houses. i cant help but think about my future. i know in 1.5 years my career will be set. i’ll have steady income and be able to save a house then. i just need to chill the eff out. everyone has their own pace and i need to stop comparing myself to others. but, i did have the ‘what r we’ talk w joe the other day.

well, it’s good to know we’re on the same page. we’d like to have zero to one kid. two kids max, and we’d let that second child know they were a mistake. just kidding (not really). as for right now, i need to put my head down and focus on my career. btw, joe’s words of affirmation were “good job.” UGH.
