"fun fact, akhenaten, aka egypt's least successful and most hated pharaoh, could've been considered successful had the pharaohs after him not knocked down all of his buildings and monuments. the dude built an entire city while he was pharaoh."

âOKAY, I KNOW that I just scared off a bunch of shady dudes from robbing the store, but you donât have to scare the rest of the world off with trivial facts,â Josie remarked while brushing her hair back and hiding a smile. Her new friend, whoever she was, had the proclivity of stating trivia in their time spent together. The facts became especially detailed if Serim managed to catch her during the closing shifts. She let out a sigh as she wiped down the counter. âThough Iâm curious, where did you learn this fact this time? I didnât know you were studying Egyptian pharaohs now.â

âWAS I EVER going to explicitly state that youâre an asshole? I think that goes without saying.â She shrugged and quirked an amused smile. âItâs not like your curiosity would have an eternal gaping void just because I wouldnât answer a simple question. You donât even know if I was being completely honest with you.â

SO HELP HER, Ryu Saeron... Other than her rather rude outburst and use of swear words, Josie calmed herself down in front of the stranger that so happened to be in front of the entertainment building where she knew her half sister worked. âJosie Yang,â she replied, trying not to cringe while telling the other her Korean name, âRubiâs older sister. She promised that sheâd treat me to bubble tea today, and Iâve come to claim my prize.â

As soon as they were both satisfied with the timing and counting, Asher straightened his back and clapped his hands for himself. Polishing a dance was something Asher was very meticulous on. He had to admit that he was happy when she pointed out his miscalculation, otherwise he would be disappointed in himself upon seeing his performance that way. âThanks. Iâm glad you told me, really. Otherwise Iâd sulk over it for a day, maybe.â
JOSIE GAVE HIM a nonchalant shrug, finding no need to play up her ego around him like she constantly did around others. At least, with Asher, she could cut that bullshit. That was enough for her to be thankful about. âEither way, you were going to sulk. Whether it was from seeing your dance a little off, or from my constructive criticism,â she joked, her tone brutally honest, as always. She nodded and walked over to the speaker to play the music. âOne more time, just for good measure.â

â⊠this would be the first count, and twoâŠâ The male mimicked her words as he placed his phone back down on the floor before getting up. He stretched his limbs out as well and looked at the mirror, doing the said steps in a slower pace to be able to match the counting with the movement.
SINCE THE DARK haired girl was focusing on the accuracy of their timing and the precision of their moves, her counts dissolved into her making random noises to accentuate the beat. (As what always happens whenever sheâs going over a dance.) She had to admit, though, it was refreshing to work with someone who at least knew what he was doing. âWould you look at that, we fixed the timing. Good job, Ash.â
@rcdlght96 wants the last laugh? âWhy Are You Like This?â
not i, you started this, trick ass bitch.

âHOW ABOUT NEITHER?â Josie tried to play down her amusement but she also let out a small snort and a smile from his remarks. She knew how difficult it was to explain that she fucking killed people for a living, so it became more of a recurring gag between her and her friend. She let out a soft huff and nudged at him to continue the game. They were on the seventh frame, with her in the lead slightly. âWhat you can do, though, is listen to me ramble while you knock down some pins.â
#' -- there it is; ryu saeron. ' // @ god, why couldn't i have a nicer sister.
weâre sisters? i thought you said goodbye to me.

He was expecting the whole sass thing to go through with her from forcing out of her place. Woojin had to practically drag her down the stairs just to get her out here. âI understand the whole concept of being a homebody, but when youâre in the house for a days without any sort of contact, a friend gets kind of worried if youâre even showering. You donât even seem like a woman right now.â He chewed on the end of his straw, giving him a few sweet tastes of his blueberry smoothie. âHow do you expect to find some dude out here. Youâre going to be alone forever if you keep going that way.â It was surely teasing from his end, allowing him to get on her nerves more than once. âAt least you look decent today.â
SHE LET OUT a huff at his words, most bothered that she was still outside when she didnât even need to be. Donât get her wrong, she enjoyed Woojinâs company, but still... âIsnât there a little icon in the group chat that shows who read it? Thatâs more than enough contact to show you Iâm alive and, you know. Not dead in my apartment.â She raised an eyebrow at his further remarks, quirking a small half-smile to herself. She swirled the drink around, a habit she had when she was talking and had a drink in her hand. âWhoâs to say Iâm dressing to impress? I think Iâm better off alone and not with some guy domineering my life, thanks.â

Asher made a face and looked down on the screen on his phone. His eyes examined what the other pointed out and admitted to himself that his timing might have been a little bit off at that part, now that he recalls. To lighten up the mood, he looked at her and spoke in a mocking tone. âOkay okay, missy. Iâll do the timing better now.â
âYAHâ PARK ASHER...â Josie tried to hide the small smile that crept up on her features, but to no avail. Satisfied that they were able to settle that quickly, she stood back up and stretched her limbs, eyes focused on the mirror as she spoke. âYour precision is fine, itâs only the counts that need to be fixed. So... this would be first count, and two...â She stuck her tongue out in focus, mimicking the choreography in slow motion.
pxkasher:
The male mumbled to himself and took a seat. Asher took his phone from the floor and tapped on the screen to load the video. âOkay but you know, my timing is always almost perfect.â
âWOW, LOOK AT YOU go, Ash,â she replied rather sardonically. Crouching down next to him, she watched the screen for the part that seemed off and scrunched her nose in thought. âHere, this part right here.â
wndlvst:
The frown on his face was obviously showing how upset he was with the whole situation. Ryan wasnât one to regret his actions so her words did nothing to calm him. âI donât really care, what pesters me the most is how he acted.â He lets out an annoyed sigh and looks at her again. âIâm sorry, but this is something I really donât like. Itâs disgusting how guys treat women and that makes me upset.â
SHE MURMURED SOMETHING indiscernible tightened the grip on his shoulders. Her expression remained composed as she processed his response, showing just how irritated he was at how the guy was trying to make moves on her. Josie averted her eyes, and then met his gaze again. âSo you donât like women being degraded by guys. I get that. You did a good job getting that guy away from me, consider that a small victory against that kind of injustice.â
deal @pxkasher in ( cont. )
âOKAYâ LETâS TAKE a deep breath and agree to disagree, because Iâm sure weâre both at least a little off. Pull up the video of the original choreo on your phone and letâs re-watch it.â
"Why are you so lazy all the time?"
@nngin
A SNORT ESCAPED her as she lounged back into the booth seat. It took her friend from the studio more than a few days (at least a week) to convince her to stop locking herself in her apartment. He should be thankful that she even stepped out to grab something to drink with him before class. âYah, Nam Woojinâ you mistake laziness for disinterest,â she commented as she sipped on her green tea frappuccino. She glanced at him from across the table, set the drink down, and raised an eyebrow. âIâd rather spend my time alone than at some karaoke place, drunk with my dance⊠compatriots. You should be asking them that same question when all they do is markâ in practices and performances.â
