Guys, Gabriel Agreste is not Hawkmoth. We’re all idiots.

Honestly, we should’ve known this since forever. Seriously, let’s look at the facts:

1. They look nothing alike.

Look at those chins. Look at the head shape. Tell me they look the same. Try.

Gabriel’s chin not only is more defined but his head is much slimmer while Hawkmoth’s is more bulbous at the top. They literally look like different people. HOW DID WE NOT REALIZE THIS.

But n top of that, not only did Hawkmoth knowingly put mister Agreste’s life in danger, and not only did Agreste try to stop hawkmoth, but they were shown at 2 different places at the same time.

THE 2 PICTURES ABOVE ARE BACK TO BACK. ONE WAS IN THE MANSION AND THE OTHER WAS AT THE WEIRD BUTTERFLY PLACE.

At this point trying to say they are the same person is pretty far-fetched. My guess is that they’re siblings.

Well actually I must say even though I like the idea of Gabriel being Hawkmoth and try to convince myself…  there’s still something bothering me.

Everyone leave, Gabriel ends up alone. And poof! What a coincidence, Hawkmoth apparition!

This is hiiiiighly suspicious, I agree with you. BUT. There’s something wrong. Indeed, the lapse of time is still very short when Gabriel is finally alone and the moment Nathalie meet him again. So if he is Hawkmoth he needed to go back to his hideout, transform, make his apparition in HawkMoth very quickly, get back normal and go back inside the mansion. And that’s the point.

You remember where’s Gabriel’s mansion located?

Right next to the Eiffel Tower.

Now where’s Hawkmoth hideout?

Here. This is it. This is the view we have when HawkMoth’s akumas head to their victim from the hideout. And we clearly see the Eiffel Tower in the background. So how is it possible for him to go from the mansion to his hideout in such short time???

And you forget the fact that Gabriel is a busy man, so if he desapear all the times for made is Hawkmoth things, that make him suspicious and he can’t go for the Hawkmoth-tower all the day, just for make a Akumatisation ‘^’ !  Because, Hawckmoth is always in his place (how convenient) when someone is in bad termes and as week for made an Akuma ‘^’ ! So Hawkmoth need to be a long time in his tower for made this things, not just go to the Tower for made an Akuma ‘^’ !  So, that make Gabriel a little bit more not guilty I think :v !  Maybe Hawkmoth is Gabriel Sibilings who was also in love for Adrien Mother, but become made when Gabriel get maried with her ‘^’ !
