I made the decision to binge Scream Queens in the span of a week and have tragically grown attached to Chanel Oberlin (I have no idea where it came from but it’s there). I’m considering adding her on here but I’d like to try a voice test first, so like this for a thing? Doesn’t have to be super serious, I just want to see if I have the chops for this muse.

(this is like the closest thing I have to Alice smiling but YEAH) !!!!!!! HONESTLY I was toying with the idea of writing Alice just bc I’m in love w/ Madchen but after watching the pilot I felt a definite pull toward her, and I’ve been wanting to write more morally ambiguous characters, so it was honestly a perfect opportunity. I love how she seems like this loving and caring mom and member of the community but deeper down she’s pretty self-serving and intense, and I’m so glad that’s coming across in my writing and little bullet point headcanons and such. <3 And as always, I’m so glad I’m finally writing in the same fandom as you! We’re always on the same page and honestly I can’t wait to write more w/ you. Thank you for your kind words!

Alice, in my opinion, is a master manipulator. As the editor-in-chief and owner of the Riverdale Register, she controls every piece of that paper and decides what information the public will receive and how it will all be framed. She sets the ethical standard for the paper, and as such, it’s pretty much whatever Alice says, goes. As much as she’ll assert that she’s being nothing but unbiased and telling the truth, she tends to write and edit stories toward a sensationalized angle.
When Jason’s body is found at the bank of Sweet Water River, I fully expect the published story to include a few graphs speculating that Cheryl Blossom’s recount of the events that lead up to Jason’s death were falsified or that she omitted specific, crucial details, begging the question: If she didn’t kill Jason, who is she protecting?
