ABOUT: SOULSWORDS AU

This is a Block Tales AU based off of a “what if” where the main chapter bosses become the SFOTH swords and accompany the Player on their journey to retrieve all the swords.

The original concept is not mine and was made by @/hostessshows. All the designs and majority of the lore are created by me.

It would be appreciated (though not required) to tag this blog, or my main blog [@wravarice], if you make fan art for the AU.

Reference for the SFOTH soulswords (Currently remaking this for chapter 5!)

The main chapter bosses are not exactly the swords themselves, but are simply a soul residing within them.

They can only be seen and heard by the Player.

They do not appear as the sword when fighting them in Nirvana, or when they are summoned in battle.

Curing Griefer allows him to exist in the real world as himself. He is only able to exist within the Venomshank when he is unconscious.

It is up to interpretation whether Griefer is cured or not in this AU.

genuinely what it feels like trying to figure out windforces design and its dynamic with the other soulswords. also what it feels like trying to justify arg’ll being of use to the player in some way for the in universe reason of him being the windforce Lol

actually arg'll being the windforce is really funny player intentionally kills him with hate in their eyes and they realize they have to deal with him as the windforce too LMAO

btw ive yet to finish demo 5, so its gonna take me a while to do that and come up with a design. surely choosing someone to be the windforce wont be that difficult.....

If there were other souls in the other swords - excluding ancients bc we alr know abt that - then why is it that only 1 is controlling the sword at a time?

Ex. we know Cruel King is in the Ice Dagger, what are the other souls doing in the dagger?

they arent controlling the sword itself, rather they appear to be the sword by the player and by the other soulswords [which is because their presences are needed by the player] [see dialogue below]

also the other souls are simply inactive and do not appear to anyone. the only time when they are active (in a way) is when a new sword guardian has to be selected

fun fact! all souls that enter the sfoth swords eventually lose memories of their past life including their past appearance/identity, until they completely identify with the sword they possess. this can be lessened if the soul is able to access other places than the swords

this is also why the main chapter bosses are referred to as the sfoth sword they possess
