That’s a little too..goody goody for my taste. I’d prefer lighting my own fire, laying on a nice comfy rug with a hunk of a man to keep my animal instincts entertained.
wineyard-barreloffun:
Ah, but you see Ms. Tanner I am what you might call, a “liability” and “a danger to myself and others” and thanks to dear old mother, killing me once would only make that worse. So you should be glad that I have something to keep me distracted because I’ve always wondered what it would taste like to drain a lizard like yourself dry.
I would assume it tastes a bit like any other reptile. But I also don’t think that your pet would approve of you doing so considering I’m just having a friendly conversation.
ferdinandstclair:
Well you and I both.
Believe it or not, that story was originally about me.
You don’t say? Well clearly they chose the wrong muse.
wineyard-barreloffun:
That would probably be more accurate since I know from personal experience that not all wolves are big nor bad.
The same could go for dragons Mr. Wineyard. I just happen to live up to the sterotype. Although, not all of us have a little pet to keep us distracted from the demon within.
woodywestwood:
Naw, like my fur how it is, thanks. Let ya know if I have a change’a heart, though.
Awe come on, Callum. I’ve been needing a reason to rekindle my fire.
See, but Big Bad Dragon just doesn’t sound as good.
Then I suppose your poor little soul will have to get over it, unless you’d like your fur scorched. [smirks]
Well then little reptile I suppose that is one thing we have in common.
I suppose we have been damned to reflect our inner demons, aye bloodsucker? [chuckles a bit before taking a shot of fireball (; ]
Instead of the Big Bad Wolf, they should make a Big Bad Dragon. It could be modeled after my life of wanting to constantly destroy everything in sight.
Sawyer and Sebastian J.
Drabble:
It had started simple enough, cheesy pick up lines and teasing rebukes over the counter at Bare Necessities until one day Sawyer finally agreed to…well she wouldn’t quite call it a date. It was just the two of them agreeing to meet at the bar. A few drinks and raunchy dance moves later, they shared a kiss, but went home alone. “Sorry, I don’t go all the way on a first date.” She had explained with a smirk that said, that’s for the second date.
“So this was a date.” Came Seb’s response, “Good to know.”
And it became a regular thing. As soon as he got home from a job for Hades, he’d head to the coffee shop to offer a cheesy line in exchange for a smile and a time…specifically the time that she was off work. Some nights they would go out, other nights they would turn in early. It was as close to a steady monogamous relationship as he could get with work and she was just happy to take what time he could give her.
She wasn’t sure how to feel when she got pregnant. It wasn’t planned and she wasn’t sure how he would react since she’d known for a long time that there wasn’t wedding bells in their future.
“Seb,” She started from her position lounged across the couch in her apartment. They hadn’t officially moved in together but he was here almost every night he was home and her closet had almost as much of his stuff as hers. “I’m pregnant.”
“Excuse me?” His response was incredulous, eyes wide as he turned to look at her. She didn’t dignify his exclamation with a response. “Mine?” He asked after a long moment. He could almost hear the eye roll she gave him.
“No, I told you because I’ve been seeing someone else this whole time and this was my way to break it off with you.” She drawled sarcastically.
“What do you plan to do?” He asked softly.
“That depends on you.”
“On me?” She gave him a small nod in response and he pinched the bridge of his nose as he tried to gather his thoughts to say something more than a two word question. He sighed and turned to face her again, his short dark hair messy from his nervous habit of finger combing it. “I’m not gonna lie to you beautiful, I can’t marry you. It’s not because of you, I’m just…” He trailed off as he tried to find a nice way to word it, “My job, it’s gotten me into some messed up shit and I’m not gonna put a target on your back by giving you my last name. The chance of somebody taking their anger out on you is too high if it was that obvious. And if we do this, the kid should have your name for that same reason. But if you’re worried that I’m gonna walk out because of this, I’m not. You’re stuck with me, just ya know not legally.”
“Okay, I guess we’re doing this.”
Daughter:
Name: Linnea Marie Tanner
Face Claim: Amber Heard
Personality: Linnea is confident, flirty, and sassy. She’s good at what she does and she knows it too. Like her mother she loves being on stage and seems to be drawn to the spotlight. Instead of picking up a traditional sport in high school, Linnea decided to try kick boxing and fell in love with it. She always knows what she wants and doesn’t believe in failure.
Son:
Name: Justin Nathaniel Tanner
Face Claim: Jai Courtney
Personality: Justin is quiet and introspective, but not in a shy way. Rather it always seems like he’s taking note of everything for further use. He doesn’t form close relationships well, tending to see people more as a means to an end, but for those he is close to he is exceptionally loyal. Justin isn’t above using blackmail or his looks (yes he’s good looking and yes he knows it) to get his way.
Like what? Life’s too short to miss out on something amazing like owning your own business. It’s like having kids, no one ever thinks they’re ready until it happens.
Just wait, a few more years and the grandmas here will be totally invested in your love life. *her eyes light up at the sight of a muffin* Oooooh, thank you!!
Like my new job. Working my way back up to the top of the performing arts world. [half smiles]
Honestly, after the shit my ex pulled I’m sure they already are. Kinda hard to miss a drunk and beligerent blonde storming through the square. [laughs and smiles] No problem. I bake them myself and most people like them so I’d like to think they’d work.
Okay, we will consider it an offered hug and call it good for now. *small grin* I will happily accept the title of your best friend since I haven’t actually seen my best friend in months. And that’s really exciting, I’m really happy for you.
Good. It’s always awkward when someone calls a partson their best friend and the other doesnt return the sentiment. [laughs] Yeah! So if I actually end up in one of them on some off chance your ass better be trotting on down to London to watch it.
“Often, my dear, I do not drink for the flavour, I simply drink to forget, or perhaps relax. And I can kid myself that Bailey’s is a good source of calcium.”
Sawyer nodded and laughed in complete agreement. “Well, if you are ever in need of company when drinking, I would be more than willing to partake.”
“I think I might just skip the tea and coffee and go straight to bailey’s.”
“Also a good option. Although I find Bailey’s by itself lacking the flavor palette that I prefer.” Sawyer shrugged. “C’est la vie. To each their own.”
TIff finally let out the sigh she’d been holding in, looking down, “Yep.”
[shakes her head, rolling her eyes just handing her order to her] Y’know, I’m going to have to start you a tab eventually. [laughs]
Open
Today is going to be awful, I can tell. So if you’re here to ask an asinine question, or perhaps make an idiotic comment, I’d rethink. Unless you want another hole in that thick skull of yours.
I find that coffee or tea is usually helpful for when people are being especially atrocious. Add a splash of bailey’s to it and its even better.
I’m Sorry...
Seb grinned, seeing how his comment made her pause. “Well, I’ve actually never been here before.” he said, unnerved by the subtle rejection, “Although, now that I think of it, maybe I have seen you before, in a dream.” He winked, taking the coffee from her.
Sawyer nodded, continuing with her work. “Well, it’s likely that that’s the only place you will see me anyway.” She kind of laughed at her own joke, “In your dreams that is.”
