Here's some basic information about me:
Age: 15
Pronouns: she/her
Sexuality: lesbian
Godly parent: Eos
Powers: photokinesis, limited hydrokinesis (morning dew only), and I'm a bit stronger at dawn.

anyways backstory stuff
Aurelia is a 15 year old demigod daughter of Eos. She is from small town Mississippi and she came to camp closer to when she was 14, so pretty recently. She is currently dating Kiara Belvedere, as said above. She arrived at camp after an emposai attacked her. (Probably a satyr who brought her, but idk.)
She arrived at camp post the events of the Heroes of Olympus books and thus didn't fight in those same battles that Kiara did. (Once again, if there was one in toa I didn't read it yet.)
She dealt with/deals with a lot of internalized homophobia and stuff like that since she grew up in small town Mississippi.
But she never really extended it towards others. It always confused her why people would be upset about who someone loves or what their gender identity was or anything like that
But as soon as it was her who happened to be a kiss-girl (im so sorry i cannot take myself seriously), she hated herself for it. It was fine when anyone else was like that, but not her.
She ends up being able to accept herself more slowly after she and Kiara don't start dating quite yet, but are kinda talking? Do you call it that if you've been best friends for a while and already acting pretty gay around her? Idk. Seriously, Marilene (head counselor for the Selene cabin) was waiting for the longest time for them to just kiss.
They do end up dating dw
This really reminds me of Once More to See You by Mitski because Kiara really just wanted to tell everyone and everything about how much she loved Aurelia, but Aurelia was still closeted at this point. (Sorry if im making it sound like it was a bad thing that she was closeted. it's not and, good on her for taking her time and doing it when she was comfortable)
"I've heard it be called strawberry blonde? That's what some of the Aphrodite kids say. Kiara insists I'm just ginger. It might be another one of those weird things from mom, or someone in my family has ginger genes. One of my half-brothers has richer red hair than me."
Today, Edan and Sepah were in the library together, just sitting and reading. Sepah was currently obsessed with trying to figure out how the US economic system worked, while Edan was more interested in some help-I-had-a-baby-and-I-don't-know-how-to-take-care-of-it book that didn't look too sappy from the outside. Occasionally they'd ask each other questions, and they'd be able to figure it out together.

For whatever reason, Aurelia's father let her go out today. He didn't know that his daughter was all the way in New York to study with her trans girlfriend, but that was neither here nor there. He didn't need to know. She could just shadow travel Aurelia back whenever she needed. She was carrying a good few books in her arms over to one of the small tables when she froze. She stared at Edan, and Aurelia seemed to as well. They had the same expression of confusion and recognition on their faces. Did they know one of these guys? Why was he all the way over here? Perhaps it was rude to stare, but they couldn't help it. Eventually, Aurelia tapped Kiara's shoulder to try and get her attention, and they whispered something to each other.
Edan had this strange feeling that someone was talking about him, so he'd look up for a moment. But then he realized it was Kiara and Aurelia. The two he constantly made fun of. That could be bad. He put the book down on the table so no one could see the cover of the book he was reading. Just ignore them and they'll go away, right?
They sat at a table not too far away from Edan and Sepah, and Aurelia got to skimming through the book she found. Kiara tried her best to focus on what she was supposed to. She really did. She had some kind of essay due, and she couldn't afford to get a bad grade, hence why she had a thesaurus and a dictionary among her books. Even as she tried to concentrate, she just kept glancing at Edan skeptically. This seemed like the guy Sophia was always talking about, and she couldn't help but be worried. The poor girl was always getting into trouble, and she wasn't exactly the best at choosing who to hang out with.
Edan looked towards Sepah, annoyed when they sat at such a close table.
"You could apologize." Sepah said without even looking up. Edan just stared at him. How is it that he somehow knew exactly what was wrong when he didn't even say anything?
"They're clearly doing something. And I'm busy too."
Aurelia gently shook Kiara's shoulder, pointing to a passage in the book. "Hon, that essay, right? I think this has what you need. Wanna take a walk when it turns half past?"
"Right... Sorry. You know me, scatterbrained as always." Kiara started scribbling down notes with a frown on her face and tapping her foot anxiously.
Sepah just stood up and went over to the table with the two girls. He wasn't exactly what the animosity was about, but he could just tell that something was wrong, and Sepah wanted to learn and read in peace, and not have to deal with a distracted Edan.
Kiara gave the man a wary smile. Aurelia waved to him, looking much less nervous. Under the table, she gave Kiara's hand a gentle squeeze as if to reassure her that there weren't any monsters in here. "Sorry, who are you?"

"I'm just saying what my dad would think. I'm not allowed to have guys in here, and I don't think he would want a gender ambiguous gray creature in here, either." Too bad her dad didn't know she was gay. Also too bad she couldn't bring Kiara here. She wasn't sure how nice they would be to her. "8."
"I'm giving you enough time to leave before I shoot you. Be grateful. My father wouldn't be so nice if he found out some weird thing was hanging out in his daughter's room. 9."
The synovial fluid is the fluid in your joints that makes the cracking sound when you crack your knuckles and yours glows like glowsticks look at your knuckles. Does it do that with all your joints? If I popped your shoulder would it do it? If I popped your rib out of place would it do it? If I popped your femur out of place would it do it?
"I think it's something to do with Ma. Everything says that she has rosy fingers. I don't know if it would work everywhere else."
Aurelia startled awake in her bed, immediately reaching for her crossbow, a dagger, something. Maybe a gun? She definitely wasn't at camp. "Who are you, and what are you doing in my room?"
tell that to the girl you havent adopted yet. shes asexual. her sister is bisexual and trans, and that girl's girlfriend is a lesbian. there's nothing unnatural about liking the same gender
"I'm not making fun of a 13-year-old for not wanting to have sex and get pregnant. At that young? Do you want her to end up dead?"
"And the other girl- she explained it. She said her soul is a girl soul, but she got placed in a boy body."
"Though I don't understand how a girl who claims she's a lesbian would like a boy's body."
"The anon? Huh. Never seen anything like that before," she hummed. "OH! That's what you said it was earlier. I must have lost my focus after teleporting like that. Sophia complained about them, too. Do you know where we are right now?"
"Well, shit. Just like the rest of them." She stared for a moment before pulling out her crossbow. "Are those monsters? Thos place is crawling with them!"
He rolls his eyes, looking at one of the monsters.
"Ugly, sure. But I've hurt every member of this household, at least indirectly, in some form... at least the ones I know about. Don't you think they would've told me to leave by now? You'll be fine."
"Gee, this place is even bigger on the inside." She walked in, turning back to face him. "I still want my crossbow back. Don't worry, shooting you probably wouldn't hurt you anyway."
She turned the prism until it made a rainbow against the wall, trying her best to keep her hand steady. "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering." She tossed the drachma into the rainbow, watching it disappear. "Show me Sophia Hussain, Commodus's palace."
"Better than using a phone and having every monster in a 10 mile radius know where you are." The rainbow shimmered, showing Sophia standing in front of a mirror, messing with her glamor.
She flinched, getting rid of the glamor and immediately running over and kneeling in front of the Iris Message, which chose to sit in front of her door for some reason. "Shit– Sorry I didn't notice the Iris Message. And my goddess is way better than yours."
"I'll just come down. I didn't think Aurelia knew how to get here. Where are you guys?" She asked as she started shoving a few things in her bag and some other things out of view of the Iris Message.
"Since I know for a fact Aurelia won't want me to shadow travel, what's your opinion?" She turned to him. "I don't really have another way home unless we drive for 12 hours, but everyone keeps saying it will mess up my leg."
"How is this teleportation stuff supposed to work, anyway? I don't know if she knows you, but I just met you. How can we be sure it's safe? No offense."
