Check this out! Red Bull is now into this scene and how cool is that its happening in Malaysia!
Red Bull Hill Chaser is a format of dual sprint going uphill with crowds at the sides. And this is not only specific to fixed gear. This is open category which means all bikes are in and riders will be racing to whoever, whatever bike been called out.
Check out this great event held in Shah Alam, the alleycat race by the guys at Mayhem Troopers! Sweet video work and guys. Too bad we can't join them.
After a long while of no updates and new entry on this blog, here is a new event by Wightset which going to happen on this 29th December in Johor Bahru City. A drag race for all the fixed gear track bike enthusiast covering 27km. This is serious business and no colorful fixie are allowed. Be proper!
Latest FGFS edit from Bob n the rest(Perak). Keep it up guys and shred hard!
Kind of late posting on the Fixed Fest day itself, but here are the shots. Lucky for us to meet John Prolly, the man who blogging it all about bikes and currently as on of the reference blog for many riders out there even non fixed gear. It all started with the alleycat - going around in Jakarta, racing for checkpoints - it was crazy as the total of the ride is 50km. Sean Martin of TakeoverLA took first place followed by the MASH riders from San Francisco. Then there was the mini-race, freestyle, goldsprints, trackstand and all. It was hot and humid day, but sure was fun event overall. Jakarta is an amazing city with the traffic, people, bikes, crazy bike setup and even crazy places. Sure would love to go there again with the crew from Malaysia. Cheers!
We were out there during Jakarta Fixed Fest 2012 for the criterium. Big names in the scene were racing each other and it was all good. Walton from MASH San Francisco took the win this time. It was a really fun event for everyone and we really enjoyed these moments.
Riding with the old timers
Ride safely guys!
SFXD will be here in this event in Kluang. So come and join this if you're near of far of just love big events and great kind of crowds.
Heads up for this event at Kuala Lumpur if you guys are near. Our friends in Gombak are helding a sweet time!
Race #7
UTM MTB Eco Challenge.
I finished the 35km approximately in two hours . 20km onroad, 15km offroad. Got 4th placed. Felt like i just pedal for 4hours without stopping. The trail just crazy. I fell down once when downhill, gear problem, lost my watch and my water bottle suddenly disappeared when offroad. Good and Bad to remembered. Learn the lesson that make sure double-check the gears are working. The bike FD sucks when offroad. But in the end, satisfied with the result and worth it.
The crowd were amazing during the premiere of Tour of Johor. Great supportive people for this scene. Johor Bahru premiere soon. Check this space!
Here is the teaser for this Saturday movie premiere of Tour of Johor. For all of you nearby Kuala Lumpur, do come by Doppel Cafe for this awesome event!
Heads up for those who have been waiting for the Tour of Johor movie by duraath.
Make yourself free in Kuala Lumpur this Saturday for a whole fun event. Race uphill and great local music at Doppel Cafe. See you there!
Few of the southern boys went up for the race of Tales From The Crit in Singapore and did well mostly placing in the top 15. Great event and great race! We meet up with a lot of folks from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and also Jakarta.
A lot of riders crashed at the turns but none are very serious injuries. Better luck next time for our Wightset team.
Champion - Peter Pelani
2nd Place - Apis J
3rd Place - Faz Adhili
