OKAY SO LIKE, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN???

so for anybody who’s been following me, you probably noticed i haven’t posted in a while, which is strange because in the 2, almost 3 years i’ve written toni, i’ve never not posted for longer than a few days.

given the state of the world, and a toxic new hobby i picked up and have left, i really haven’t been in a great headspace. the show, too, really didn’t give me much motivation to write toni. it felt like every episode was yet another disappointment to what i was trying to write. and with vanessa’s recent revelations, i know i wasn’t far off the mark.

so for now i want to put her on hiatus. i need to pray that the writers will salvage this, but at this point it isn’t even clear if vanessa will go back for season 5. i don’t blame her. i don’t think any of us should. the writers of riverdale showed her, and us, exactly what they think of black and PoC characters in general, time and time again.

i’m starting to feel creative again, and if you miss writing with me, please know you can find me at @diamondcrowned​ (my new single blog) and @redemptioninterlude​ (my multimuse).
