Return of the king
One thing that I can definitely agree with when it comes to witchcraft and magic, is that there's no one thing that's the silver bullet.
Magic doesn't have to be complicated, but simple doesn't necessarily mean easy. If there's one solution for everything, then why do we even bother spending years and years studying, practicing, and honing our skills?
I just remembered a story that I read years ago. I don't remember who told it or wrote it, but it made a big impression on me, especially since I was a Catholic at the time. So I think I'm going to share it here, because I think it's relevant:
"There once was a man, who desperately wanted to win the lottery. Everyday he prayed in earnest to the statue of a saint, that he may win the lottery. He prayed and prayed and prayed, day after day, week after week.
One day, as usual, he went to the statue and prayed his usual prayer, 'please, saint, please let me win the lottery! I just want to win the lottery once. Please help me win the lottery!'
After months of the same thing everyday, the saint was finally exasperated enough to come to life from the statue, and said to the man, 'for the love of god, my son, go buy a lottery ticket!'"
Making a list of all the stores I like to buy scarves and veils from so I have them all in one place! If anyone has any suggestions for stores I’d love to hear them!
Wrapunzel - scarves and other headcoverings (plus tutorials!)
Garlands of Grace - snoods, headbands, cowls, and other headcoverings
Evintage Veils - veils and mantillas
VeilsBoutique - veils and mantillas. They are a christian store but they sell the exact style of veil I like (plus they also sell veils with matching facemasks - actual cloth facemasks with lace overlays!)
DevorahChannah - veils, scarves, headbands, mantillas, snoods, and other headcoverings
Here’s an informational post about veiling, since I do veil. I veil because I am an empath, and it is to protect my energy, and because something about veiling draws me to it. Veiling is gender neutral! It can be something such as a headscarf, beanie, or headband.
There are many reasons witches veil, but here are the 3 most common
•Because they are empaths, and it is to protect their energy, and keep their energy to themself.
•Because their god or goddess/deity asks that of them to honor them, or to show dedication to them.
•Because they are drawn to veiling.
Here’s some examples of veiling, but these are not all the ways you can veil.
Ways that I “veil” that doesn’t cause people to ask 5 billion questions as someone who’s partially in the “broom closet”
Target has these cute headscarf’s that had elastic so you don’t have to tie them, and it’s pretty trendy atm
