obsessed with hawkins' high's perception of that nerd lucas who turns out to actually be really good at basketball!! and he's so cool but he's like madly in love with the new girl (she's been here a year but in a town like hawkins you're always "new") and they were a thing but now they're kinda on again off again and no matter how many popular girls the team tries to set him up with, he'll always shyly wave to her in the halls. sometimes she'll wave back but most times she ducks into her classroom with her headphones on. and for some reason he still plays dnd with that group of freaks and will be seen in the halls with the freshman boy who was cast as the lead in the spring musical simply for showing up (but this time he's actually good) as they drag around that one mopey kid who curses out teachers and whose family was rumored to have been hiding a 12 year old russian spy that the middle school bully says has superpowers. and all 4 of them were some of the few survivors of the starcourt mall fire last summer and their best friend who moved away went missing in 1983 and they found his body but it turns out it wasnt his body and he showed up a couple days later and now suddenly they all jump when the lights flicker.

Something I hadn't considered about "Do I have the right?" is that the entire reason the Doctor was on Skaro in the first place is because the time lords saw fit to use him as a weapon to remove the daleks from the equation because of what they will do in the future. It's not just that the Doctor doesn't want to make the hard decision and have that blood on his hands, it would also be letting the time lords decide who gets to live and die in their universe, using their least favorite renegade as a tool for that end.

Not only that, but if it goes wrong they have a scapegoat. And one that they didn't like to begin with, so no loss from their point of view.

Thinking about Rocky’s just straight up trauma that no one seems to ever talk about?? Freaking the FUCK out at Grace imitating sleeping before they really had the words to fully understand each other when he barely knew him. Pleading with Grace, turning to hostility in denial, then to offering six year’s worth of his own trip home when Grace tells him he’s going to die in space. The panic, screaming Grace’s name when he’s unresponsive through the excessive centrifugal force scene, his words aren’t even being translated for the audience but the desperation is so strong it doesn’t matter. Putting himself through an atmosphere that is a very, very far cry from what he’s made to live in to save him. All for an alien he’s known for an earth year or so tops, which is so much less for him than for us. Watching 22 of his crewmates die slow painful deaths without even knowing what was happening obviously did a NUMBER on him but god i see no one talking about it
