Artist Statement

For the Loop (Forever) project I chose the items I want to last forever: Playing soccer, rollercoaster excitement, vinyl record’s, graceful dance, my goofy animals, and laughing at the simplest things. From the readwrite article, paraphrasing Andy Warhol, …”everyone gets their 15 minutes of fame,” has now become 15 seconds. The tools to create these seconds have infinite possibilities for expanding and creating better visual stimuli. I’m too novice in this art to replicate my fellow classmates’ work, but I can enjoy the heck out of it. It’s astounding how many great projects everyone’s created. Jealousy never felt so good.
