So I work at an animal shelter - mostly with the cats. I meet soooooo many women who come into one of our adoption centers or who stop by our events and say “oh I’m just looking. I love cats but my husband/boyfriend…” Some of them show off their cat-shaped jewelry. Some tell me about their feline-themed home decor.

“Sad cat lady spinster” is a myth. We need to flip the script. We need to warn straight women about the perils of ending up in a loveless/catless marriage.
