Zoro & Loki parallels:

I find it interesting that Loki who was introduced so late in the story shares a couple of parallels with the first member of the straw hat crew ( I'm not counting Luffy since he's the one who created that crew).

1. First of all, their introduction to the story is similar. Both of them are tied, considered dangerous individuals and yet it's obvious from the get go that there is more than meets the eye in both cases.

When Zoro was first introduced he was bound to a post:

And Loki was also tied in his first appearance:

(One Piece chapter #1141)

2.Then we also have the world's attitude vs Luffy's attitude towards them.

Coby informing Luffy about Zoro's (bad) reputation and Luffy being Luffy gives zero fucks:

Similarly, Elbaf people talking about Loki and why he's a dangerous individual and once again Luffy doesn't care about it:

3. Luffy literally frees both of them and also offers them a place in his crew which both Zoro and Loki deny ( in Zoro's case he accepted the membership later on while in Loki's case that remains to be seen):
