So, I have some relatively large plans for Spade + his siblings, and Baron Skinner's Bazaar, and I want to make an easy way to navigate this page beyond just the tags! I will be doing such by creating link-texts to the rps, from the last post in the thread, for ease of consumption!

That being said, I'm going to do my best to seperate posts by the following — Meetings/Interactions with others — Performances at the Bazaar — and — Performer Lore.

For the former, I will be listing the other accounts as Spades nickname for the character followed with the translation for the nickname in brackets! [Reason being for these nicknames is that a name is very important to the Bazaar, and Spade gives characters nicknames to keep them safe!]

Performances will be added with whatever the circus act/performance is called, and linked to below.

Performer lore is going to be the bottom-most section and the least relative to the performances themselves. They are not necessary to read to understand the events, but if you'd like to know more about each individual performer, that's where to go!

Alright, so on the colours thing, I will be assigning different colours to different performers at the Bazaar!

Spade will not type in it, though if any performers refer to him, his colour is purple.

The J Twins, Jester [She/It] and Joker [He/It], will type in and be referred to with pink and green respectively. The twins will typically refer to/about one another as Jes and Jo!

Heart writes in and will be referred to with red text [It/She]

Diamond writes in and will be referred to with blue text [They/She/It]

Club writes in and will be referred to with orange text. [She/It]

There are other performers, however due to limited colour options they will use emojis and that will get mapped out when needed!

[The last of the promotional posters finally begins to populate, and unlike the one prior, is mainly within the busiest parts of the city.]

[Recent rain has left a small puddle on one of the tables meat to be used in the performance. In the middle of that puddle there lies a waterproof ziploc bag with two items neatly packed inside. The first one is an ace of spades. The second happens to be a card from Tate Museum gift shop with some painting of a cage dressed up like an adult male with two white doves inside on one side and some text on the other.

The text reads:]

"Hello, darling!

Our name is Valerie. We haven't met before, however, we've heard a little of you and your artistic talents. Considering ourselves an admiring and caring patron of all sorts of arts, we would like to offer you our assistance in things not related to performing directly — for example, in catering. If you're in no need of some services, we would still love to meet you sometime. After all... было бы славно поболтать на родном языке [it would be nice to have a chat in our native language].

Spade has been busy for the last few weeks, running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, trying to ensure that everything is just right for when the show days come. So when he spotted the bag he was quick to snatch it up. Thinking maybe a performer had left it sitting out, or a merchant got mixed up with what goes where.

Though, upon seeing the card inside he couldn't help but investigate, even with other responsibilities. It was just too tempting.

Catering... huh- well.. could not hurt to inquire.

After appointing one of his siblings to watch over the Bazaar, and ensuring he had a few spare tickets to hand out, Spade makes his way to the Tate Museum, hoping that it was the right place to go.

[The building of the former Bankside Power Station which now housed Tate Modern (that's where the card, in fact, originated from) seems gigantic up close — and, surely, is just as big on the inside. The task of finding a person in such vast space knowing only their name doesn't promise to be an easy one...

...that is, until a person sitting not far from the entrance calls to Spade.]

Hey! Hey you, stranger!

[They wear a friendly smile, dark eyeshades and clothes that simply scream "ordinary". However, their persistence does not; as well as black nitrile gloves covering their fingers which clasp around slightly wet tickets. Val waves, beckoning to come closer.]

Would you like to become our "plus one" and go see that new Magritte exhibition? Got one ticket to spare.

He seems quite lost upon entering, though as soon as it heard the voice, it turned to face them, waving with an arm that was just a touch too long.

Hello! I must say, I did not expect this place to be as grand as it is.

Spade is quiet for a moment after the offer, then nods.

I do not see why no. I must ask though, do you know how long it will be? I have preparations to continue.

[It seems, for Val everything was going as expected so far, so they nod and stand up, gesturing to the part of the hall where an entrance to the exhibition would be. However, their brows twitch in a flicker of surprise.]

What! You've never been to the British home of modern and contemporary art? Shame you have to leave early, then... it is rather inspiring. Come on.

[They confidently lead Spade through the huge hall to a place marked with big banners featuring two people making out while wearing linen bags on their heads. The posters tell a thing or two about René Magritte and the theme of the exhibition, but Val takes no interest in them and just walks further into a brightly lit series of rooms. Here, they sigh, letting their voice slide to a more professional and calm undertone.]

Oh yes, yes. I expected a longer time. It is nice to meet you as well, and I do not see why I would not like you. You invited me to a showing, and have been nothing but pleasant as of yet. Besides- it is good to relax. Preparations have gotten me too stressed as of late.

Oh, no. We're completely aware you're a busy person. This amount of time is precisely what we need to properly present ourselves, and if you'd like to stay for longer and relax... well, it would be our pleasure.

[Val nods and slightly slowers their pace, turning a corner to face the first row of paintings. Each one of them is quite a bizarre spectacle — people whose faces are replaced with objects, objects that don't look the way they should, scenery overlapping with their contours. One of the paintings is simply a giant eye with a cloudy sky replacing its iris. Val clears their throat and crosses their arms on their chest.]

As you're already know, our name is Valerie. Generally, we're known for running a small fancy restaurant with a peculiar choice of dishes and atmosphere — usually it's dine-in only... but sometimes we also provide catering services. For friends. However, that is not all. We also specialize in delivering objects, such as letters or parcels sized up to medium, especially to those that are hard to reach, as well as helping with... personal projects that need managing the lights at the right time to succeed. These services don't come for free, though; they're usually exchanged for monetary value, or else. As they say — feed and let others feed.

Surely, big artistic projects take a lot of manpower and resources to be brought into action. Do you require any help at all, by chance?

Quite so! Eugh- no one else seems to understand that! Not even my siblings- and they are in the show! It is nice to know that at least some get that it is not as easy and just waking up one morning and deciding to put the show on. In terms of needing help- yes that would be quite nice. I think that generally the Bazaar itself is fine- but.. perhaps delivering some of our trinkets to those we wish to invite would be a good way to get people to show. Even if, at first, it is only in vein attempts to return trinket to us.

You say parcels to medium? I believe most of our merchants make rather small trinkets, something that can typically be forgotten about... yes I like the sound of this. Feed and let feed? We could secure you a spot in the upper levels, you would have full view of the terror, and access to it- without my siblings getting to antsy about someone not a part of our show feeding at it.

We must warn you, though: anything... or anyone... delivered by ourselves comes into close contact with water. We always do everything we can to protect the items, however, accidents still happen. So, this is for you to consider.

[Val nods, their voice becoming quieter.]

A spot in the upper levels sounds lovely. Might we ask you a question regarding the performance? What is, hmm, an expected mortality rate for the audience? Honestly, we prefer more... long-lasting effects on the food source. Nightmares, PTSD, paranoia, hallucinations... you get the idea — darkness works much better with those.

Oh yes, that sounds perfect! We've still got a few tickets to get out before the show-date, and so once I have wrapped that aspect up I can bring a list of who with the what that will be travelling. Hmm... that ought to be alright, though I will discuss with our merchants to ensure that the items being shipped will not be affected by the water.

Oh, that is perfect~! While this may change once we gather a proper reputation, for this show the audience's mortality rate is not going to be high. There will be plenty of lasting effects to thrive off of.

Spade nods at the gesture and starts to walk, doing it's best to pay attention to both the installments and conversation.

Hm. That is quite the question! Baron would know more, as I haven't been with the Bazaar for it's entire existence, but I have been with it for.. five decades, now? Perhaps six. And that does include the time in which the Bazaar was dormant. May I ask how long you have been making agreements? If that is the correct way to word it.

A slightly eccentric looking woman now stands in the main storage space, and as she sees why she felt the pull to this room she grumbles to herself.

She laughs again, pushing her tone to something lighter, sweeter, in an some mixed attempt at both, getting their attention, and making herself seem less of a thing, more of a person.

[She then, after a long pause, clears her throat.]

They're going in the library.

That looks heavy, I can carry it for you, no? And you could point out the direction to the exit for me?

She keeps the smile, and her brows turn down just enough to give the impression that this offer is an innocent one. Clearly she couldn't harbor any sort of mal-intent with this expression.

Lead the way? Knowing myself I would end up stuck somewhere I shouldn't be ehe. Then I'd be stuck there, when - if I'm going to be in this place, I'd rather it be with someone nice as you, than the others I've encountered so far.

[She lets out a slight giggle. At their compliment, her hand inches upwards, towards her hair, and she subconciously begins to twirl said hair around it.]

[She turns right, now walking down a different, outstretched corridor.]

Well, nothing or something, it looks nice. Even more so if you've done it yourself. I could not imagine trying to dye my hair without help!

She keeps up with her, if not slowing her own steps down so as to not pass them. She also is keeping her eyes on them, rather than paying much attention to where they're going.

[Once again, a new poster begins to populate, only one or two at first, then suddenly there's more of these then the other two designs combined. Seemingly a favorite of the Bazaar itself. There are two tickets already missing from the bottom row of this poster.]

There's a bit of a fuss in the institute, people chattering about seeing someone new around, yet not being able to describe what the supposed person looked like. Other employees are going to different departments to ask if anyone else has seen the stranger. The door to Artifacts Storage opens, followed by quiet mumbling, then the door being closed behind. A slightly eccentric looking woman now stands in the main storage space, and as she sees why she felt the pull to this room she grumbles to herself.

I just need to find the damned exit- I hate this damned building.

[Eryn is stood infront of a large, gray shelf. At the sound of footsteps, she looks over her shoulder.]

[She squints, at the comically out-of-place individual.]

She jumps at the voice, and for a short moment glares at it's owner, though the glare is quickly replaced with a soft smile, and a shake of the head.

More of me? Not since the last time I checked, no.

She laughs quietly, playing it off as a joke. She walks around a little, eyeing certain artifacts as she does, but generally she's keeping an eye on the worker.

I just got quite a bit lost, it seems! New places tend to make that easy, don't they? Perhaps I was supposed to end up here?

[She looks back down, at the previous task she'd been handling. A crate of leather books.]

Yeah, sure.

[Eryn nods, absentmindedly. She doesnt seem to be listening to them.]

[She adjusts her grip on the aforementioned crate, eyes impossibly widening.]

As the attention shifts off of her, she stares at them. A moment of processing, then she walks over to them, eyeing the crate.

Huh... I thought I passed through the library already. Are these going there? Or are they... the hungry type?

She laughs again, pushing her tone to something lighter, sweeter, in an some mixed attempt at both, getting their attention, and making herself seem less of a thing, more of a person.

[Eryn looks up. She cowers, slightly, boots creaking against the floor.]

Uh, library.

[She then, after a long pause, clears her throat.]

They're going in the library.

She smiles, head tilting just a bit at the pause. Then, she reaches out for the crate, bringing herself a bit too close for comfort.

That looks heavy, I can carry it for you, no? And you could point out the direction to the exit for me?

She keeps the smile, and her brows turn down just enough to give the impression that this offer is an innocent one. Clearly she couldn't harbor any sort of mal-intent with this expression.

[She nods. Eryn gestures the crate towards them, having been, with an almost comical ease, persuaded into doing so.]

[She nods, once more. Once they take hold of the crate, she awkwardly places her arms at her side.]

Heart laughs quietly at the ease with which they agreed, and took the crate with surprising lack of issue. She rests one side of the crate on her hip, supporting the other side with her arm. Her smile widens just a bit, and she nods toward the door.

Lead the way? Knowing myself I would end up stuck somewhere I shouldn't be ehe. Then I'd be stuck there, when - if I'm going to be in this place, I'd rather it be with someone nice as you, than the others I've encountered so far.

Its just over there, I guess?
