Do you think that rose fusions would have a different weapon then steven’s?

Super sorry about answering this so late, i’ve been on a bit of a break.

anyways, i personally think its likely they would! same thing i’ve said about fusions in the past, they are the manifestation of the fusee’s relationships, and i dont think that steven is just Rose 2.0.

the gems have completely different relationships with steven than they did with rose, and a fusion’s weapon tends to be a combination of the weapons of the users, as WELL as a weapon thats suited for the fusion’s personality.

Aka: Rose+Ame=/=Steven+Ame, and therefore, RoseAme_Weapon=/=StevenAme_Weapon

i think that one of the most vital things when it comes to whether or not i can have a proper discussion with someone about Rose Quartz is how they answer the following question:

Is Rose Quartz a good person who did bad things, or a bad person who did good things?

Because, putting it as bluntly as i can stand. If you choose the wrong answer, you’ve grossly misunderstood her as a character, AND a person. Some might say its not that deep, and yea, maybe it isn’t. But that doesn’t mean I can talk to you about it.

Can we just acknowledge the trauma Connie must have developed in that one scene where Stevonnie fell apart as they were falling off the sky arena??

I mean she had to do SPEED therapy for Steven in that moment, otherwise she’d LITERALLY DIE??? Like im Connie was worried about Steven too, as she exclaims that “Stevonnie has floating powers” indicating she didnt know its wasn’t exclusive to them. Even still tho, she knows Steven has magic, but she was a full HUMAN about to be flattened if she didnt help Steven move past what he was going through in the next minute or so.

Like that is SCARY.

i really just saw someone with the audacity reply to “now that im older i realise how bad rose quartz really is” with “she isnt bad”. op responded saying “yes she was” and then commenter replied “okay but everyone in the show was a bad person” AS IF THAT DISPUTES IT???

Not gonna lie, the fact that we NEVER saw Era 1 Peridots, even just SKETCHES of their design, feels like a legitimate crime. Because we were introduced to this concept of Era 1 vs Era 2 gems with the implication that they’re designs would be different, and then it was PROVEN by Unleash the Light by showing us Pyrope and Demantoid, but we still have no idea what an Era 1 PERIDOT looks like. Like sure, she’s probably just taller, but like,,, what if theres more?? We literally will never know. Because certainly there has to be more differences than just height for Peridot to be so insecure about it.

Update on Life: Today as SO productive! I had an accidental spark of inspiration and was able to write out the ENTIRE plotline of Corundum’s story!! This is like, LEAPS AND BOUNDS ahead of where i was at before!

i know i talk about how im always working ok it, but when I say that, usually i mean either from an idea or design perspective, which is still true! Problem was, i was always working on these designs for characters, and scenarios for what would happen, but they had no complete story! I mean sure, i knew what story beats i wanted to hit, but i had so many ideas, with no way to string them together. But somehow today it just all,, CLICKED. Anyways it got me so excited, that i almost posted the plotline on tumblr —

Going forward, i can actually think of singular “episodes” rather than what the entire story might be, which is crazy to think about. Who knows what’ll happen next!

also! i should mention—

in the tags of the first post i mentioned “filler” and i’d like to correct myself on that. while there are some episodes that i personally found boring or targeted mainly towards children (as cartoons are typically going to be), that does not apply to all of the more “light-hearted” or less lore related episodes! in fact there are only about 2 or 3 episodes in ALL of seasons one and two that i consider skips. every other episode has some form of reference or importance that comes up later!

tldr; this is a VERY character driven show, and i regret calling those episodes filler!

Ahhhhh— its tough answering this question!

Because while i WOULD just love to tell the story, part of me feels like i might actually make the comic one day. Its nice to know someone cares about my characters tho! Makes me inspired to actually do more with them.

To answer the question, it’s TECHNICALLY spoilers, but what i can say is that Corundum has a hard time with identity. Everyone who meets her wants to know who, and WHAT she is, and she doesn’t know that herself. Her powers with electricity are directly connected to that emotion. So until SHE finds out who she is, she wont ever be able to control her powers.
