Hi i need help finding a fic series
The fanfics are where tim drake is basicly immortal everytime he dies as long as a part of his body exist then he can revive
one is where the batfam finds out after tim got pinned down by a beam with his guts spilling out and pru tells them about his power
i have been looking for this fic for about a week now so im turning to tumblr
This is based off Fanon, I am fully aware that in Canon a lotta this stuff is different. I just really like this idea because it's angsty as fuck:
Jason, assuming Tim was Part Of The Family and thinking Bruce just fully adopted this whole other kid immediately after he died, and being pissed about it.
Meanwhile Tim 'created an entire fake uncle just to avoid being adopted because Bruce and his relationship is purely Boss-and-Employee' Drake is just sitting here.
Jason, after everything's settled down and the batfam's got a truce going, like "so how many movie nights did you have? How many toys did Bruce bury you in each birthday?"
and Tim's like "??? Why would I have movie nights with my boss??? And the only thing I got for my 'birthday' was Trust Issues."
Headcanon where the amount of mess tells you how comfortable with you Tim is. Like, when he's first moved into Wayne Manor, his room is military clean, but as he slowly starts feeling more and more like family, his room gets messy and he starts leaving things in public areas.
After Jason attacks him, he's back to military clean til he relaxes again. The same thing happens after Damian tries to kill him, and because of Dick prioritizing Damian's everything over Tim, but Tim never returns to his relaxed state in the Manor. He keeps little to no personal items there. He can't, he doesn't feel safe there anymore. Which makes it jarring for the family members who've only seen how he is at the Manor to visit the Nest or Tim's apartment because there's mess everywhere. Clothes, blankets, cases, projects, paperwork, etc just left everywhere.
Those closest to Tim literally start gaging how comfortable Tim is by his willingness to make a mess. The first time he leaves a hoody or his shoes kicked off in a shared area makes them feel like a stray cat is finally letting them close. They've been chosen. And Gods help you if you make him uncomfortable enough to stop making his mess.
The core 4 Titans nearly start a fist fight with the Bats when they see how clean Tim is in the Manor/Batcave.
I think it'd be funny if Jason and Damian are the first Bats to catch on. Jason figures it out due to hanging out with Tim and getting to know him. And Damian pieces it together because of how Jason and the core 4 Titans behave to seeing how clean "Tim's areas" are. And once Tim and Damian are no longer at each other's throats, Damian is thrilled the first time Tim leaves something in his area.
I like to think the Murder Birds and Cass are the only Bats who figure the behavior out. The others either never lived with him or visited his spots, thus have no frame of reference, or wrote off the behavior, either by not thinking too hard about it or making excuses.
Bruce, Dick, and Alfred all seem to think his military clean behavior as him "maturing" instead of him just not feeling like family anymore. They're not invited to the other areas Tim is comfortable at. Mostly because ones who KNOW don't want Tim to feel unsafe in there, and Tim doesn't invite them to his living spaces.
TW: child neglect ---
yayyyy happy ending~ idk if my point is coming across but current Tim got deaged to the time he wished the bedmonster would adopt him or smth along those lines...
It was fun actually working on smth with a lil more plot 🕺🕺🕺
Edit: someone wrote a fic based on this comic and holy shit
grian's guilt complex is so interesting regarding the games to me. He feels guilty and like he has responsability over things he doesnt and makes extreme stuff to repair the damage even when no one asked him to. But also keeps making deathly games or keeps putting responsabilities on himself over things and other people which makes him act condescending. Its kinda like a snake eating it's own tail
YEAH. YEAH. and in the wildcards i feel like its sorta amplified because. the death games at least he doesn't blame himself for the setting. but with the wild cards he was straight up going "this is my fault/this is not my fault" when people died from a wildcard that he had absolutely no control over. likee when scar first died from walking off a cliff he says "and that one is not my fault at all, he would have died even without the wild card" even if he died from the wild card it wouldn0t be your fault grian............ AND GOD. YEAH. THE CONDESCENDING. it's because he sets upon himself the duty to "keep his teammates alive" and things like that that he ends up even more disappointed when they don't meet his imposed standards. much to think about
the concept of "canon" is fake anyway. if you write a fanfic with better emotional arcs than the original you win. i said what i said
