Hello! I recently found the SRS, theres not so much info about spamtons on my country. Ive found one not too long ago, maybe someone in his trip lost him? but the poor thing was really disoriented but now it doesn't want to let go. I wanted to ask: what is reccomended for the care of a spamton? Do they get along well with other species?
And lastly, do they go well with temperature changes? It doesn't snow here thankfully, so the cold it's not too bad. But it can vary from -2 to 33 Celsius somedays.

Spamtons eat money! In a pinch, kibble will do, but their primary food source should be Kromer. Kromer can be bought at local pet stores, but since you mentioned scarce spamton care resources in your state, I recommend ordering an abundance from online stores. Kromer never expires so don't worry about it expiring during shipping!
Spamtons require at least 10 hours of attention each day. That doesn't mean you have to actively play with them, just that they're out of their room/kennel and are free roaming your house or backyard (with supervision so they don't get swooped up by large birds).
Spamtons sleep. A lot. They're very lazy, and I'm sure they'd lounge around all day on the couch if you let them. It's important to make sure you have a dedicated safe room for your Spamton to nap in.
Safe rooms should contain soft flooring (if not carpet, then blankets draped along the floor) to make sure their footsies don't get sore. There should be toys and a nesting area, which will be made by your Spamton. Make sure to avoid putting televisions or tables in the room; it should be completely unobstructed.
Excessive television viewing. Spamtons should not be looking at a turned on television for more than 2 hours at a time, as anything longer than that will damage their protective eye filters (we have so many blind Spamtons who were just placed in front of the television by neglectful owners)
Manipulating their limbs. A lot of people like to make their Spamtons do silly dances by holding them by their armpits and moving their arms and body around. DO NOT DO THIS. It's incredibly painful for a Spamton, as their bones are typically very weak. So many owners bring in their Spamtons with broken arms because they tried to make their Spamton follow the "Dancing Spamton" trend on tiktok. It's very sad.
Species Spamtons Get Along Well With:
Spamtons are able to adapt to extreme temperature changes!
During colder seasons, a Spamtons protective fuzz will grow into insulating fur. It's still recommended to put your Spamton in sweaters and snow gear if you're letting them go outside.
During warmer seasons, their fuzz will retract into something more akin to skin. This means sunscreen will have to be applied. Spamtons with sunburn are a pain to handle, pardon my crude language.
