Tenna, consumed by his own selfish desires and fear of abandonment, has kidnapped the people who were important to Kris to force him to stay. Toriel and Kris are missing in the light world, Toriel is captured by Tenna and Kris refuses to return without his mother or his friends, In this way, he has embarked on a challenging adventure to recover his loved ones no matter the cost.

Spamton decided to help Kris, believing that perhaps with his help he would find the freedom he was seeking, that perhaps fighting alongside his would give him a purpose, and now he is his protector. Jevil ends up joining Kris's cause (in this case the soul would have to convince the jester to help them possibly by fighting him first), he gives you the devil's knife as usual, but this time Kris use it instead of Susie. Jevil is there to have fun, to see more chaos and maybe a little to annoy Spamton's existence but little by little he would become closer to Kris and Spamton. This Kris is not entirely innocent, he is willing to kill Tenna if he has to just to save his mother, he obviously cares about his friends too. Spamton lost everything for wanting "too much" and Jevil was locked up by the king for being "too much" to control.

I've been thinking about more things about this version of the story, one of them being that Spamton ends up turning into his NEO version to protect Kris and stand up to Tenna. In this version the Spamton NEO would not be as unstable as in the original version, there would be no threads tying it up since it would have found a purpose which is to protect Kris and the path to freedom by freeing those Tenna has captured. Kris can equip items to Spamton to improve him, Spamton can learn Kris's fighting style to fight alongside him like Susie would.

Continuing with my idea about the alternate timeline I made this edit, I feel that it would be a good way to represent how Tenna slowly begins to lose his mind, letting himself be carried away by his insecurities and negative traits. While Tenna doesn't really seek to hurt Kris with his actions in the original timeline, here he would have let his negative emotions control him, making him believe that he must FORCE Kris to stay here and never abandon him again. In this timeline, Spamton has lapses where his sanity returns and he returns to his old self. Although these lapses are random both in duration and when they happen, also part of what happens while he is sane will stay in his head but as divided and slightly confusing memories. All of this is part of a "no hit" route, Spamton deciding to help Kris save everyone they cares about from Tenna's hands because Kris forgave him in the past despite having tried to kill them when he was Spamton NEO.

I thought about an alternate timeline from the original where Tenna's negative traits and his fear of abandonment end up consuming him to the point of madness, turning him into a hostile character. In this alternate timeline, Spamton would be in charge of helping Kris, since Tenna, this time instead of kidnapping only Toriel, would have kidnapped any Darkner Kris cared about, like Ralsei. Maybe it's a bit stupid, I simply came up with a version where Tenna lets his emotions dominate him, bringing out the bad in him, and where Spamton has a bit more of a role, since this could also help him find a possible path to freedom by helping Kris.
