...My heart started pounding in my chest and I knew I was in deep trouble. I picked up their phone and acted all cheery so my friends would not suspect anything was wrong. My Mom told me I had exactly ten minutes to get my bottom back to the house and then she hung up on me. I actually continued talking for another 30 seconds into a dead phone saying things like "Oh, yeah...I forgot. OK Mom, I'll be right over then...Love you...Bye" and then told my friends I forgot that my family had plans and that I needed to run. I was blushing like an idiot the entire time, terrified that my shameful secret would be revealed. I knew my Mom's paddle awaited me when I got home. Of course, she met me at our door and marched me to the bathroom where I promptly had my mouth soaped for lying. After that, my mom made me change into my PJs since I was going to be sent straight to bed. Then we got to the main event... I got my bare ass positively blistered with her paddle right in the living room while the rest of the family sat at dinner right around the corner. So just 20 or so minutes of foolish rebellion and disobedience had earned me nothing but humiliation, pain and suffering. It was definitely not worth it! Being an adult but still living at home kept me in a childish mentality. I wasn't above getting down in the dirt with my sisters and I knew which one had tattled. This information got me nothing but more trouble though. The next afternoon, we were at each other's throats, especially since she was teasing me relentlessly for getting spanked. I pushed her into a table, knocking over and breaking a lamp. So things escalated and I ended up getting the razor strap from my Dad. This was the next day and my butt was still sore so it was even worse than usual because Dad's spankings were horrible. But to be whipped on an already battered bottom was unbearable. I got the "You might want to be on your very best behavior from now on unless you want to find yourself in this position again tomorrow, Alyssa!" speech at 19 years-old, which was as embarrassing as anything I think, to still be treated like an immature child...
