Before the release of Participant AU masterpost, I wanna share with you a little headcanon of mine.

Caine has some sort of a top surgery scar. It looks like a glitch, but he made it up himself without telling anyone, not even Kinger. He made it because there was a deadname engraved on his chest, and it pissed him off, so he scrapped it and named himself C.A.I.N.E. afterwards.

What's the deadname was?

It's just a file name when C&A created him. But he wanted something special, something memorable, something more humanlike.

Bomb is autistic and the reason why he gets scared so easily is because he spended majority of his life being overly protected and had his choices dictated by his mom, that's why whenever anything surprising happens, his first reaction is to get scared and gasp. And that also explains why he's kinda awkward in any conversation or is seem as "too much" or "too slow"

Chuck probably didn't got enough attention when he was little, that's why he gets attached to new people quickly, talks & acts really fast, seems to please people more than he should but no one barely does the same with him, doesn't take things seriously probably because his parents did the same with him and he grew up thinking life's like this and that's how things go. And he always tries & succeeds in being funny and charismatic because he wants to be seem by others, so he can atleast feel he's in there.

Red never got any parental affection, neither grew up with any mentor or guardian to teach him how to live or do things, and since he didn't had anyone to talk about his emotions or his life problems, he grew up only being angry by how his life was and isolating himself. The birds don't hate him, neither do they exclude him on purpose, he does that to himself because he thinks someone like him doesn't deserve to be approached, that's why he pushed other birds away from him in the start of the movie, even though they were friendly to him, till the point of even knowing his name, and was sad later for them not giving him attention or getting included in social activities. He grew up so confused and unsure about his feelings that, at the same time he was angry that his life is like this, he is scared of changing. Either for the worse or better. He feels like he's only a hateful bird and that others hate him as well, and that he doesn't have anything else to offer outside of his anger, or fears judgment from others when his "true self" get revealed eventually.
