"give her all the love she gives to me" and "never felt this love from anyone" has always made me feel like noel is just a completely different person with liam when they are alone together. deeply affectionate and generous with his adoration. it's easy to imagine how liam is in that context because he has always worn his heart on his sleeve for noel regardless of whether they're alone or not, but what we are able to see of noel is so hot and cold and prickly. but his music tells us that he can be deeply romantic too. when it's good it must be really good. i always think of the testimony from the groupie who said that noel was constantly asking liam for hugs. and we know he feels most at peace in his lover's brother's arms.
my favourite oasis era in fics and headcanons will always be noel coming back from his roadie side quest and having to put up with an even more insane angry and horny idiot of a brother who is now sure about what and who he wants and is very certain he’s going to get it (he is, in fact, going to get it)
