Hiatus

[So I'm sure you've all noticed, but I think this is pretty much the end of the line for Kíli here.  For what is Kíli without Fíli to back him up?  Maybe the Muse will come back someday, but I thought it proper to put up an official notice.  Thanks for the good times, mates.  I really appreciated all of it.  <3]

[ Back from field work.  Unfortunately, left a few days early, but back in the continental US.  Also unfortunately, the semi-hiatus will continue.  Due to a sudden death in the family, my life is sort of up in the air while things get sorted out.  Activity will be spotty.  Thanks for your patience, and I understand if anyone wants to drop. ]

"Do you want to play ‘Pretty Woman’, Killian? Is that it? Because I guarantee you they won’t let you in without a suit and tie and something tells me you lack in these sort of clothing. Which would also imply that I need to take you shopping because I doubt I have clothes that fit you."

Thorin Headcanon #2

The reason Thorin is so overprotective of Kili is because Kili reminds him of Frerin. His brother had the same looks, fought with same recklessness and was always eager to prove himself. Ever since Frerin fell in the Battle of Azanulbizar, Thorin hasn’t stopped blaming himself. The constant feeling that he failed to protect his little brother keeping him awake at nights. He’ll be damned if he lets himself make that mistake again.

Hobbit Meme: [1/3] Races - Dwarves

He smiled as Kili agreed. Fresh air would do the archer some good and possibly help sober him up a bit, though, seven beers— The toymaker had to admit, he was a bit impressed, but the reason that drove the youngest prince to taking up seven mugs, well… Bofur should have arrived sooner. 

"We won’t go far, but—” He glanced at the archer, a cheeky smirk lifting the corners of his lips. “—far enough.”

Even though the lad had stood a bit straighter, held his head a little bit higher, the toymaker kept his arm around the archer’s waist, simply because he enjoyed being close, being leaned against. They moved away from the door and headed outside where the crisp evening night would be waiting for them.

     “There’s a pond down the hill a ways, the one we passed when we arrived, we can head down there if yer up for it?”

If the fresh air made the lad walk a little straighter, he didn't comment on the matter.  Bofur's arm wrapped around his middle brought a welcome warmth, and while he certainly didn't need an excuse to lean against the toymaker, he wasn't about to pry himself away just yet, either.  One arm was slung around the elder dwarf's neck, he turned his head and nudged at Bofur's cheek.

"Pond sounds nice," he agreed, the edges of his lips pulling upward.  He leaned in, and he nuzzled again, exhaling softly as the slowly made their way across the hill.  "Maybe there are fish.  I want a fish.  Maybe we can get a fish."  Kíli crooned at the thought (though it was highly unlikely he could ever catch a fish with his bare hands, even if he was sober), and then he tugged Bofur.  "Or we could sit.  And watch.  And other things."
