He sat down in front of the counter. “So, what else have I missed?”

“Two orders of sweet curry,” she told Ikura before turning to Nobuo. “Well... let’s see you missed the ToQgers. They were certainly an interesting bunch of kids, but they were definitely some of the bravest heroes I ever got a chance to meet. Then the Ninningers, who are still in the midst of their battle. I’ve been hearing rumors about the 40th Super Sentai, though I haven’t met any of them.”

Miu smiled at him before letting go of his jacket. “Well, now that we’ve settled that matter. Ikura, what are your specials for today?” she asked, sitting in the seat next to where Nobuo was.

Nobuo felt a chill run down his spine. “She’s here.”

He turned to face the woman he loved in life.

“Now Miu….I can explain”

Miu glared at him and picked him up by the collar of his jacket, pulling him close to her. “So here I was worried sick about you being dead, and when I come her to pay my respects, here you are sitting here and talking about the the Ninningers!” said, staring him dead in the eye. “So. Go on, explain yourself.”

Nobuo wandered into the Sentai Cafe and sat down in front of one of the large Mecha displays, making himself comfortable. He looked around, observing the men and women he used to converse with, and avoided making anything move.

He stood up, looked at the counter, and saw Ikura staring straight at him.

“Aw, hell.”

The fourth wall has its ups and downs, but one of those pluses (a debatable one at that) was being able to see ghosts. Like the one sitting in her cafe. Right in front of her eyes. And it was one of her former regular customers. “You know, everyone else is alive. It’s about time to wake up from the dirt nap, don’t you think?” Ikura’s trademark smirk made itself apparent as she teased Nobuo. “You’ve missed several seasons already, What a shame! You missed all the crossovers in Ninninger…”

“Luna and Yumeria only got brought back because they complained to Hatte Saburo about all the conventions and idol events they’d miss! They even went incognito, and retired their AkibaRanger titles. They left me alone…”

She could tell him the shambles of the fourth wall would allow that no problem, but that wouldn’t be any fun. “They crossed over with Hurricanger, Kakuranger, Magiranger, AND Jiraiya. They dragged out a Metal Hero that wasn’t a Space Sheriff, and you missed it. Such a shame, such a shame.”

Before Nobuo would get any opportunity to mourn the fact that he had missed an entire season of crossovers (or the fact that his partners basically cheated death, one of the two), they would both feel an ominous presence before the Red Ranger’s side was met with a pair of feet belonging to a rather luxuriously-dressed Miu Sutou, who managed to land on her feet without problem.
