Files from Chief Bathead #2: Jude

There's a lot to be said about the demon trapped inside the Megiddo Buckle. For one, Jude isn't actually her name. A convenient nickname based on her claim of being a spirit of punishment from the frozen lake of Judecca. A place for oathbreakers and betrayers. Her claim seems to make sense given certain features about it.

In her physical body, her limbs are a deep, almost deathlike purple from extreme cold, and the rest of her is covered in leather-like flesh draped over her body and seeping over the rest of her skin like veins. Two sets of wings, one at her lower back and the others adorning her hips. Fiery red hair, purple eyes, and bat wings studded in gold. All of which seem to have relevance to the shape created by the Megiddo Buckle's activated state, as well as other things drawn out by it.

Enhanced strength, endurance, height and resistance to heat and cold. Weirdly, the manipulation of heat and cold as well, almost to a point of freezing or immolating objects at will, though this claim needs further testing. Odd, but it makes sense given Jude's supposed origins and rank. If Megiddo's intent was to reach out and capture a much lower ranking creature in Hell's hierarchy, then what exactly were they meant to do with it. The living battery concept still seems sound, but it'd be hard to say without other examples. Hopefully it doesn't come to that.

All the same, her imprisonment in the buckle does come with some caveats. It'd be a stretch to call it a "personality infection", but it certain merits some thought. From what's been seen, Jude can be charming, charitable, empathetic, sadistic, flirty, reckless and vengeful. Probably explaining the mutual desire to ruin the ones who summoned her into the belt in the first place. But until we get more data, or she reveals more about herself, the best that could be said is that she's a useful ally and a less than undesirable interloper at times. Explaining a moving, talking belt is hardly ideal when dealing with most people.

Files from Chief Bathead #1: The Buckle

Created through a combination of cybernetic engineering and arcane philosophy, the Megiddo Buckle is equal parts transformation device and supernatural channeling conduit. Used mainly by trapping supernatural forces(souls, mainly) inside of it and using them as the catalyst for their cyborg supersoldiers to achieve form akin to Demonic Machines.

To what extent is unclear, given the first case example seems to be the accidental hybridization of a high ranking punishment devil and Ichi themself, taking on the form most representative of said devil while the belt is active. Physical traits like the growth of stronger, more durable flesh, increased height, musculature and in some cases shifts in vocal range have also been noticed.

The creation of outer armor in this 'legionnaire form' also seems to come from the buckle's power source, enabled from a continued resonance between the subject and the conduit. More data is needed, but it does seem what influence the spirit has on the subject is very notable in the body. Likely owed to the engineers of the Megiddo Syndicate's cyborg body philosophy relying on the use of this buckle, but also expecting a lesser spirit to be used as its power source.
